The Same
Hadyan couldn't feel the softness of Tasia's skin when he rubbed her back. The surface that he used to love to kiss and fondle had turned into wavy scales. There was no longer any long hair that he could comb with his fingers. There were no more strands of hair that he could tuck in her ear. Tasia really had changed a lot. She didn't look like a human anymore.
"Tasia.." Hadyan called softly when he couldn't feel any movement or sobs in his arms anymore. "Tasia, are you feeling better?" He whispered, releasing his arms to peek at her face.
Tasia's short moan sounded hoarse. Her eyes were closed tightly with the remaining tears that made her face a little puffy.
Hadyan sighed in relief. It turned out that the empress had fallen asleep. It seemed that Tasia had been exhausted from the start, plus she had been crying for so long. No wonder she immediately fell asleep in Hadyan's comfortable arms, which she missed so much.
