The King's Wrath
The parade of war troops returned by passing through the city. All the people cheered on their knees to welcome the return of the warriors. They felt very grateful because the king had protected them and their land.
Usually, Hadyan would walk slowly together with his men in this situation. He wanted to enjoy and appreciate the company of his people who were worshipping him. But it was different this time. There was someone he was dying to meet. He stomped the reins of his horse, so that the animal ran even faster and ahead of the warriors he left behind.
Finally, Hadyan's horse's steps reached the front of the palace. He immediately jumped down from the dashing black horse and stepped quickly up the stairs. He found the ladies-in-waiting chief and the palace guard chief standing waiting for him in front of the huge palace door. All of their subordinates who stood behind them immediately knelt respectfully at the king's arrival.
