Prologue

The kingdom of Shin used to be well-known and respected by nations all around the world. They were the strongest of all. They had connections all across the world, and alliances with only the strongest. Though their most important asset was the people of the kingdom. Hardly any of the citizens were human. They all could shape-shift. Due to that, this caused them to feared by many, especially those with more than one type of creature they could shift into. Those who could be normally either nobles or a part of the royal family. In this kingdom, women were the ones to rule the throne. Male shapeshifters were unpredictable, and often made decisions off on their instincts. Women were more controlled. They were able to calm such instincts easier and be able to make the correct judgment. One day, they made an alliance with one of the biggest countries in the world, but they turned their back on the kingdom, destroyed their kingdom, and took their land. They wiped out most of Shin's population, and the kingdom was no more. Only about 10,000 of the population lived. Some snuck into the neighboring country and lived their lives there until they eventually either got caught or died of old age. The others worked and fought to get land to rebuild the kingdom. The king and queen survived the massacre and continued to rule after the kingdom was eventually rebuilt. No one other than the people knew it had been rebuilt by the same monarchy. The kingdom became forgotten by the outside, and the existence of shifters had also been forgotten. Two hundred years later, the most powerful shifters had been born and ruled the kingdom with an iron fist. Their children were even stronger with the ability to shift into twenty different creatures. This is the story of their "daughter."
