Day 7

The past few days went by fast. My bond with Keitaro was getting stronger each day. Even my friend noticed after a while. They were so happy for us. But it didn't last long...

C: Good Morning, girlfriend. Did you have a good sleep?

H: Morning, Corni. Yeah, I slept well but never enough. But I see you are fresh as usual. I'm so jealous.

C: Oh, don't be! You look good too.

H: Yeah, Nah. I look like crap. I would kill someone for a coffee and a smoke. How about you?

C: I don't drink coffee, and I also don't like cigarettes. I don't know how you can stand that stuff.

H: Well, I started four years ago, and I couldn't stop. I wish I could just quit smoking.

C: Anyway, we should head to the campgrounds. The scoutmasters are waiting for us.

We left the cabin and waited for everyone else. Scoutmaster Samantha arrived, but we had to wait for the other Scoutmaster. One thing about Scoutmaster Samantha is a bit.. how should I say it? Nuts, crazy? In a good way, as weird as it sounds. She was kind. But she was always matching everyone with everyone, and I don't know why. Then she saw us. Keitaro and I, holding hands. Goddess save us.

S Samantha: Hey, you two! Are you what I think you are?

C&K: Umhh...

Both of our checks turned red. We looked at each other and knew what we had to say.

K: We are just, you know...

C: Good friends.

S Samanta: No, no no no! I can see right through you guys.

C: Oh boy, here she goes again.

S Richard: Samanta! Are you brothering the scouts again? Ugh, just leave them be.

S Samanta: Fine. But you guys better tell me all details later.

Thank the Goddess, Scoutmaster Richard has arrived. I was so confused about her. I just don't get it. Why is she like this?

S Richard: Listen up, scouts. For today's activity, we will go to the nearby river and catch some fish. The kitchen needs some help, and the more we get, the more we can eat.

S Samanta: So get going. The tools needed are already at the river.

R: So, has anyone know how to use a fishing rod or how can we catch fish?

H&A&C&K: Nope.

R: Well, this is going to be fun.

We headed to the river. It was very close to camp, so we got there fast. We all tried to figure out how to use a fishing rod. It took us half an hour, but we figured it out.

A: Well, at least we relax. This gonna take a while.

H: Yeah. So anyone got any great stories? Or we can talk about random stuff.

Everyone started telling different stories about their past. Hanna told us how she and Ryan got together in a nightclub. Alex told us how he met Keitaro in kindergarten. Time went by fast, but something was not right. After realizing what is, happening, I turned pale.

C: Guys, I'll be right back need to go the bathroom.

H: Are you ok? You seem sick.

C: Don't worry about me. It's just that time of the month.

H: I see. Need any help?

C: No thanks. I'll be quick.

I headed towards the camp. After some time, when I saw no one paying attention, I went to the forest.

C: I can feel your presence! Reveal yourself.

???: As you wish.

I looked around and saw it. A Ravoni Demon. Not that strong, but I knew, it was up to no good.

C: You don't belong here. State your purpose.

Demon: I'm here to destroy this forest and everyone inside. That means you too. Now perish!

The demon lashed out and started throwing fire at me. I reacted quickly with a thick wall of ice.

Demon: I see you are not human. What are you?

C: The last thing you ever see. Ahtuljla qrah wad!

The magic I used to make quick work of the demon and it was destroyed on the spot.

C: Phew. I'm glad it's over. I should head back to the river fast before they start suspecting something.

I turned around, and Keitaro was there. He looked pale. I saw the fear in his eyes. We were both frozen in place. How long was he standing there? Did he see everything?

C: How long have you been standing there?

I slowly started to move closer to him.

K: S-stay back!

C: Wait, just let me explain!

Before I could explain everything, he ran away. I couldn't breathe. I fell onto my knees and started crying. I let out a scream, and the wind started blowing. Eventually, a storm came. My emotions got the better of me. I didn't know what to do. Should I just leave camp or stay?

In the end, I decided to stay. It was for the better. Keitaro saw what I am. I had to make sure Keiraro was safe and that he, won't tell my secret. I slowly made my way back to camp. I skipped dinner and went to the cabin.

One hour later, Hannah came back to the cabin. She saw how sad and scared I was.

H: Is everything ok?

C: No, not really. But thanks for asking,

H: Keitaro, run back to scared and crying. What happened?

C: He didn't tell you?

H: No. We calmed him down, but he didn't tell us anything.

So he didn't tell his friends what he saw. It's probably for the best.

C: Sorry, but I really don't want to talk about it.

H: Fine. But if you need a friend, I'm here.

C: Thanks, Hannah.

That was a horrible night I had. When I closed my eyes, I saw his terrified face in front of me. The storm I caused with my emotions didn't help either. I just wanted this nightmare to end. I hope I can just explain what happened in the forest and what I am to him in the coming day.
