As Cipher stared up at the cathedral, analyzing the craftsmanship and architecture of the building. The building reminded him of the Cathedral of Brasilia, having a roof that extended from the ground upwards towards the sky as if reaching for it. As Cipher walked towards the entrance of the church he passed statues of large creatures, many of those creatures looking hideous and grotesque causing him to wonder what would possess anyone to display them.
Reaching the massive doors of the church, Cipher pulled his hand back to knock. Startling him and causing him to retract his hand, the doors slowly pulled inward on their own accord leaving Cipher in the middle of the entrance with a noticeably shocked face. There in the middle of the brightly lit building stood a man in his mid 30's with long white hair and silver eyes, holding a white book in hand.
Cipher couldn't help thinking the man looked very prestigious, wearing glasses, a long white robe that draped to the floor trimmed in gold, a set of golden wrist guards, and an elegant neckless that have an eight-point start with a visible empty circle in the middle. Cipher didn't know exactly how he should address the man, he had never been in a situation where he needed to speak with or address someone that radiated such an authoritative aura.
Figuring it be best to slowly approach the man instead of standing near the entrance like some sort of child, Cipher began taking steps towards the man. As Cipher made his way towards the priest the mand spoke, "Hello, you must be the new Knight of Light 'Cipher Starlight' our Goddess had apprised us you would be arriving. It is my pleasure to meet you, I am Axel Surelight, a Knight of Light, priest of Choas, and guide of this magnificent church. Now that you are here I would like to ask you to accompany me towards the library.
Following Axel down the expansive hallways of the church, Cipher could hear only the echo of their footsteps and Axel speaking, "This church is one of 5 that can be found in the Land of Dreams and Legends, it boasts the largest and most expansive library out of any of the churches. Since you are new I will be helping you get acclimated to this place and the outside world. I feel it is necessary to explain to you now the difference in how time moves within the walls of the church, for every 100 days you spend within the walls, exactly 1 day transpires outside of them. This is not of relative importance at the moment, but better that I inform you now lest I forget later on".
Making their way to the end of the hall Cipher could see two large double doors. As they approached the doors Axel grabbed a handle from each door, pulling them both open whiles saying, "Welcome to the Library!". Cipher could not believe his eyes everything he had experienced so far had surpassed anything he had ever dreamed of and this 'Library' was no exception. To say it was big would be gross understand, even saying it was huge would not accurately describe it, no the only thing that came to mind was ginormous. It was like entering a 4 story mall and seeing books from wall to wall, Cipher wasn't an avid reader previously, but seeing this enormous collection he decided he wanted to be.
Taking his view off the books Cipher could see two chairs and a table arranged in the middle of the library, Axel gesturing for Cipher to follow him said, "I hope you are pleased with the library it holds over a billion books, stories, fables, fairy tales, legends, poems, guides, grimoires, scrolls, and more. Everything in this library also has a purpose and can be used to help you improve yourself to better fight the darkness of the world. I would like to discuss with you that topic if you would please sit and place your hand on this end table I will begin explaining everything".
Taking another glance around the library Cipher took his seat across from Axel placed his hand on the end table. Axel taking a seat himself fixed his glasses and smoothed out his robe before taking a deep breath in preparation for conversation, "Where to begin, well I guess it is best if we start with how you got here. Do you remember speaking with a voice before coming to this world?". Cipher remembered the voice, but now that he thought about it everything he talked about with the voice was a little fussy as if it was a memory from when he was a child. After explaining all that, Axel gave a nod to the side, "that is actually very common I would be more surprised if you remembered everything with vivid clarity. Now, the 'voice' you spoke with was our Goddess Chaos, she made the decision to bring you to this world to help eliminate some of the rampant darkness and bring the world back to balance".
Cipher was a bit confused from what he could recall whenever someone mentioned chaos it was almost always in a negative context. Cipher needed to make sure he understood, "When you say chaos do you mean the destructive type? Why would a Goddess like that want me here, wouldn't it be better if I wasn't so the world could be plunged into more chaos"? Signing this wasn't the first time Axel was asked this and he was positive it wouldn't be the last, "I believe you have the wrong idea the Goddess Chaos I speak of is also called "the Goddess of the Void" she is the beginning of everything and the end, she is everything and nothing, from her, came the darkness, but also from her was born the light. She has brought you here because there is an imbalance in this world and the darkness has begun to overrun the land. Your job is to fight back the darkness so that balance can be restored to the world".
Taking moment to think Cipher then asked, "So is there no way to completely rid this world of darkness?" Axel scratching the back of his head, "That a little harder to explain. First, you need to understand that....."

Hello everyone, if you have read this far I would just like to say thank you. I have been attempting to write a chapter every night but found out that is a lot harder than it seems. I will keep trying my best to provide more chapters It may be more often than not that I release a chapter every other day, but if I can do multiple I absolutely will. Also [fun fact] the story will begin picking up steam soon, I just need to make sure all my bases are covered before we get to the action stuff which I already have some draft chapters created in preparation.
Please comment and let me know what you think...use the 1 to 3 rule though "for every 1 negative comment, proved 3 positive comments ;-)
