(C Class) - Dark Beast ~ pt1

Splashing water on his face Cipher looked up, seeing his reflection in the mirror he thought to himself [I do look older]. Cipher had arrived at the church about two years ago at this point, of course, that was from the perspective of those within the church. If you went and asked Toli he would tell you Cipher had arrived in Sol about eight days ago. It was super mind-boggling for the residents because every time they would see Cipher, he would look a little older, and that could happen up to two times or more in the same day. Seeing his reflection Cipher noticed his now more apparent jawline, stern piercing silver eyes, and his white hair that was mid-length at this point since he had it cut about a month ago.

Turning around Cipher could hear a voice {DEM~I thought you might stand there and stare at yourself all day}. Cipher giving a sigh couldn't help but think how much DEM had changed in the past two years. DEM had learned a lot in the library and helped Cipher progress in a multitude of ways. The system itself hadn't changed because he hadn't been collecting Dream Credits since he got to the church, but DEM had been able to make use of the virtual library allowed Cipher to instantly recall any information from within it.

This was probably one of the most overpowered features that the system had because whenever Cipher went to the Church Library he could leave his hand on the podium, giving DEM a constant stream of information to collect and store. Cipher actually ran into trouble with this on one of his days off, he had decided to visit the library and allow DEM to collect information while he read a book in the chair next to the podium. It was also fine and dandy until he fell asleep, leaving his hand on the podium for about five hours. That day DEM collected a phenomenal amount of information, giving Cipher a mass of information to recall at a moment's notice, but it also left Cipher's arm unusable until halfway through his training the following day.

Cipher had also noticed the DEM had started to develop somewhat of a personality, while they joked with one another DEM never hindered Cipher. Cipher closed the door to the bathroom door and then went to his closet to get a new set of clothes. Cipher paused he hadn't really taken notice before but he had got a bit taller standing now at about 5 foot,11 inches, he also had a lean athletic build, abs, and visible arm muscles I mean he should after training day in and day out every day for two years. Shaking his head he put on a new set of clothes [DEM pull up my stats please], a moment later Cipher had a screen in his view at showed his update states.

Looking over the list CIpher became confused he had learned of void magic, but since so few Knights of Lights knew how or could use it Cipher had given up the idea of learning that magic. DEM breaking Cipher from his thoughts stated, {~Just because it is there doesn't mean you will necessarily be able to use it, notice you can't view the mastery value so that means there is no way at this time for you to increase them. From what I can gather you will still need the Goddess of the Void to give express permission before being able to utilize it at all}.

Finished with viewing his stats he closed the screen, finished getting dressed, and then placed the twin stars on his hips. Today was one of his days off, but Cipher had spoken to Axel and got him to agree to allow Cipher to go into town. There wasn't much time lift till Axel took Cipher out to kill his first nightmare, Cipher wasn't counting the Shimmer he killed two years ago because he felt it was pure luck he survived. Knowing he would be leaving soon, he wanted to have Toli show him all the other sights and attractions that Sol had to offer.

That would all have to wait because not more than five minutes after Cipher had left his room he could hear a quiet beeping sound in his head. DEM pulled up the map screen and informed Cipher of a threat that was on getting close to the town, on the screen Cipher could see a red dot slowly inching closer to Sol. Seeing Cipher in the hall Axel yelled to him "Get ready we are finishing your training today a C Class Dark Beast is on its way!" In the past, Yuri would handle the random creatures that would show up, but having left a week ago to go back to her own town it was now the job of Axel and for the moment Cipher.

Cipher ran back to his room got his cloak and then ran to catch up with Axel. Meeting Axel at the entrance of the Church, they then made their way to the north entrance of the city where the Dark Beast was about to arrive. Arriving before the Dark Beast at the north entrance Cipher got a full view of how disturbing and frighting the Darkness could be. Outside the city was a [C Class] Dark Beast a 12ft bipedal monster with a skeletal frame, massive claws, a lowered jaw with teeth that would make a shark blush.

The beast had green wispy fur and smelled rotten, Cipher couldn't help but given a snort to clear his nose of the smell. Axel looked at Cipher, "It is time, this is what you trained for, I am going to let you handle this on your own. Remember, like most that from the darkness, Dark Beasts are weak to our weapons, physical attacks will not work on them though". Cipher rolled his shoulders back, cracked his knuckles, and then placed a hand on each of the twin stars and unsheathed them.

Cipher looked in the mirror [Man I look good today] {DEM~Cipher that isn't a mirror it's a picture of Axel}. Taking a moment Cipher looked again, [Your right, wow this must have been when he was younger].

This is being done to loosen the constraints I feel while I am writing and help with the flow of everything.

Also, I apologize for the constant updates, I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to the way things read and sound. Case in point, I edited this sentence about 6 times.
