Chapter 86

It wasn't long before someone appeared at the open window on the second floor.

"Is that Mr. White?" I squinted my eyes.

Mr. Shark focused his binoculars on the window.

"Doesn't look like him. He looks younger, wearing some sort of animal mask. A dog? A wolf?"

"The wolf mask man!" I exclaimed.

"You know him?"

"He was the one who caught us and did the kidnapping," Gene replied for me.

"He's raising his hand and saying something," said Mr. Shark as he continued to observe the window.

Suddenly, the crowd of people went down on their knees and bowed. Their actions were clear to us even without binoculars.

"What in the world?" Mr. Shark was surprised.

"Looks like a cult," commented Miss Butterfly.

"I don't like the sound of cults."

"Neither do I," said Gene.

"He seems to be pointing our way and saying something," said Mr. Shark. "There's no way he saw us, right? I mean, we're this far away."

"But the crowd is getting up and walking towards us," said Miss Butterfly.
