Chapter 65

During lunch break, Momo, Cyrus, Gene, and I ate together in the classroom like usual. Right across our table, a couple was arguing. Their voices could be heard throughout the classroom.

"So noisy," said Momo.

"A lovers' quarrel?" Cyrus turned his head.

The girl ran out of the room. After a few seconds, the boy chased after her.

"Almost like a drama series," Momo commented.

"Aren't we also like that sometimes?" said Cyrus after finishing the last bite of his meal.

"True."

"Um, excuse me..." We all heard an unfamiliar voice.

It was one of our classmates. She was looking a bit nervous.

She continued, "A few of us are planning to go karaoke after class. We were wondering if the four of you would like to join us."

Momo's eyes sparkled. She was probably excited about the chance to socialize with our other classmates. "Yes!"

"I'll pass. I still have to oversee the investigation at the company building," said Cyrus.
