"What?" The corner of my eye twitched. "What do you mean??"
Doctor Albert Finnigan pinched the bridge of his nose, looking at me regretfully. "An hour ago his body was cremated for burial in your extended family cemetery, Elisabeth."
There was a thunderbolt that struck my head until it made me speechless with wide eyes in surprise. My blazing gaze begged Doctor Finnigan to explain that he had just said something wrong. Dad was brought home because he was healed, not for burial! No, this is wrong!
Instead of correcting the information he provided, Doctor Finnigan patted my shoulder gently, leaving me frozen like an idiot. My legs go limp. My motor function can't seem to work. I was almost paralyzed, numb.
