The only happiest moment in her life

As soon as the screen went blank the mood tha air in the conference room felt stiffling.

"Excuse me" Song lin said and got up and went off. Shiyu leaned back in her chair. she sighed as she pinched the space between her bros. Just then the door opened the new girl Huan yi entered her face anxious. she ran towards shiyu and whispered something in her ear. Shiyu's expression changed immediately she got up and ran out the room frantically the new girl followed behind her. Ji zue and Lu chen looked at each other and followed them. They ran towards Song lin's office. As they entered her office it was....a Mess. documents are thrown all over on the floor. All the cupboards are opened. window is broken and Song lin...Song lin was on her knees on the floor clutching something what looked like a shield But it's broken. blood is flowing from her hands where she clutched the broken glass.

"What's wrong ? what happend here?" Ji zue asked shiyu. No answer. Ji zue and Lu chen looked up at lin shiyu. she covered her mouth her eyes wide as she looked at shiyu. tears rolled down her face. Ji zue didn't understand what happened there that made her cry. he asked again "what's wrong lin shiyu?" but she didn't answer and she ran towards Song lin and sar beside her.

"We can fix it Song lin..don't worry we can.."

"ITS BROKEN!!! can't you see????" Song lin shouted at her. she closed her eyes for a moment and then she pushed shiyu aside and put the broken shield down. she got up and went towards the computer and stared checking CCTV footage but its empty. she typed something again and again and the footage appeared. She saw a hooded figure. He broke in to her office and destroyed everything he took a pen drive from her drive and walked back towards the door but stopped midway. He turned and looked up at the shield on the wall. he wanted towards the shield and removed it from the wall and threw it on to the ground with such a force that it broke in to million pieces. then he stormed out of the door. Song lin clenched her fists and swept the things on her table on to the ground. they clashed against the ground. It's Ji zue's first time seeing her with such rage and fury. She always kept her emotions in check as far as he know. He turned to Lin shiyu and said "Tell the guards at the perimeter to search for him in a distance of 200 m.Lu chen search the military groun.." but Song Lin interrupted him. "There's no need of that. If he took my pen drive he has to find the password to open it" she said her lips curving in to a devilish smile and for the first time that smile didn't irritate Ji zue. Song lin then took out her walkie talkie and connected it to the the speakers. When she spoke her cold voice rang throughout the grounds. Her eyes glistening with a murderous intent.

"Everyone get the hell out of your rooms. Close the gates to the military grounds. No one are allowed to leave the place. guards at the perimeter search for any vehicles near the military grounds. If you find any do not let them leave. the soldiers inside the perimeter gather around the first building and also the 2nd floor. Someone broke in to my office."she said all this in a breath, paused and looked at the broken shield on the ground "And I what that bastard to be caught within 10 min."she said again her voice so cold that it could even break iron shackles. She then took out her gun , loaded it and walked towards the door. She kicked the door open at went out.

"she'll kill him if she found him."shiyu breathed looking at the broken shield. she then whipped her head towards Ji zue "Major Ji only you can stop her from killing him because she'll obey your orders please don't let her do this" shiyu said her eyes pleading him. He felt like asking her a million questions but he remembered the rage on Song lin's face when she saw that man breaking the shield. So he just nodded and went out.

Lu chen walked towards shiyu and looked up at her face. It is stained with tears and her eyes are sad so very sad. "Is the shield that important to her?" he asked her softly. "I can be damn sure that the only happiest moment in her life is when she received that shield"she said still looking at the broken shield. Her tears started rolling down again. He was surprised when he heard what she said. "You like her so much don't you?"he asked looking at her. she looked up at him too and nodded. "why?" he asked her still looking in to her eyes. Because she's the only one who didn't and won't care about the past I have shiyu thought inside "Because she's my bestfriend"she said out loud and walked out of room. Lu chen stood there unmoving for a long time. His mind wandering towards the memories he tried so hard to forget. He then walked towards the broken shield and picked up the pieces.
