The chain

"Right" song lin paused and gestured something to lin shiyu. She stoodup and went inside the bedroom. Song lin turned to rose and celeana. She said to zayne as she looked at the demoness

"Like I told you, we used to go to your targets house after your every mission. Once..I found something in the scene..it was a year ago I think." song lin said as shiyu came out and handed something to her. She said as she sat down.

"We heard about you both a lot in the military. The inseparable duo, the troublemakers.." her lips curved upward as shiyu said "Ofcourse we didn't put much thought in you but then one day we heard that one of you broke captain xue's nose and that she was so scared she didn't even complain to higher authorities"

Rose and celeana raised their eyebrows at her. Azriel sighed as he said

"They probably broke so many members nose that they don't remember who you are talking about" shiyu laughed but song lin said

"You see I have a little score to settle with her" shiyu giggled then "Captain xue tried her best until now to never cross paths with song lin..so when we heard about this particular rumor we looked you up." Song lin turned to celeana and held out her hand

"Since then I've been meaning to tell you this"she paused and opened her palm.

"Good job" she said as she placed the chain in her hand on the table. Celeana was silent for a whole one minute before she grabbed the chain and looked at song lin, her eyes wide. Song lin was a little startled by her reaction.

"I found this at scene at the ..at first I wasn't sure whose it was but then I remembered you wearing it in that park where we met and also I've seen you wearing it in some photos." she said slowly. But Celeana wasn't looking at her, she wasn't even hearing her. Her fingers shook as she opened the silver colored heartshaped locket and took out the ring from it. The ring is pure platinum with a white diamond embedded in the centre. Celeana fought to keep her hands steady. She thought she lost it. Lost the only connection she had to that person. She would always touch her neck absently. Azriels words brought her back to the present. She put the ring inside and closed the locket.

"So when you said you knew that 2 females are in our group. It was just a guess?" Song lin nodded and shiyu smiled as she said.

"When we found out that it was celeana's. We hacked in to their troops military base and looked up their schedule. Both of them always went on missions together. The leaves they took...even that was on same time. So we figured they are together in this."

Celeana turned to song lin and said

"Thankyou" Song lin met those sincere hazel eyes and for once there was no arrogance in there. She just nodded at her and the demoness looked away. Interesting, she thought as she observed how hard celeana is trying to keep her hands steady.

"Hacking in to the military base....you know that you can be punished for such thing right?" she heard cassian say. She raised her brows and stared at him.

"Why? Are you going to report us?" she asked, her tone dangerously menacing. His lips curved up as he leaned closer and looked her in the eye

"Maybe" he said in his silky tone. Song lin chuckled.

"Best of luck" she said quietly. He winked at her with those amused eyes of his and looked away. She turned to find Zayne staring at her. She looked away before they could start a staring contest.

"You met at a park?" azriel asked looking at the females.

"You don't need to know" rose and celeana said again. His smiled turned down and he turned to song lin and lin shiyu. Song lin just looked at the inseparable duo and said

"Well, I think it'll be more fun to listen from them" both rose and celeana glared at her. She looked down as she hid her smile. Lin shiyu suddenly looked at them as she asked

"What about our passports, should we leave the counrty as ourselves or with madeup names ?" Sam leaned back and said

"Leave that to me. we'll have to meet the commander before we leave right? I'll hand yours to you that time." shiyu nodded.

"Right I want your details" he asked them. song lin arched her brow.

"I'm sure you have those already since you did a background check on us" An uncomfortable silence fell around the table. Sam smiled and said

"But I still think its polite to ask you the details" shiyu laughed at his lame excuse, even song lin smiled a little.

"You can't provoke him with your words...sam is too nice to get angry" she heard cassian say in to her ear. That bought a complete smile to her face. She nodded as still looking at sam. She suddenly turned to cassian. He raised his brows

"what? surprised how I guessed your way of reading people?" when she didn't reply he just smiled and looked away. I have to be wary of him she was thinking to herself when rose said suddenly

"Hey I'm hungry" shiyu and song lin looked at each other.

"There wont be any restaurants here. it'll take atleast an hour for you to find a restaurant in this place." rose looked baffled.

"I'll probably die before that" she said gloomily. shiyu pursued her lips. Even she is hungry. She looked at the clock

1:00!!!!

They sat like this for nearly 2 hours. she thought for a moment and said

"There's a department store nearby we can go buy some things, song lin is good at cooking" Song whirled to her but shiyu politely ignored her.

"Really? zayne is the only one who can cook among us. Come lets go and buy" rose said as she stood up and looked at celeana.

"Rose I have something to take care of I'll be back by the time she cooks. You go on with sergeant lin okay?" Rose's face dimmed. Celeana sighed and stood up. She leaned in and whispered in to her ear.

"You know this chain belongs to my mom right? I want to visit her grave."

"Okay" celeana nodded to others and walked towards the main door. rose gestured to lin shiyu to come along.

"Just a minute" shiyu said and went in to the bedroom. Then they heard Celeana shout from the door.

"It requires your voice authentication!!" song lin sighed and got up. Zayne stared at her as she walked towards celeana. She put her palm on the dial pad as she said

"Helen aquilla" the door opened with a click. Celeana vanished out of the door without a word. Azriel was yawning when she came back. She thoughts for a moment and asked

"Sleepy?" no concern, no emotion in her tone just curiosity. When he nodded, she said

"You can sleep in the room or on the couch" she said. He got up and walked to the couch. He slept on it without a word. Song lin raised her brows. Rose laughed and said

"Don't mind him he's sleeping panda"
