Meeting part 4

Song lin and Cheng xi gave each other a last seething look and turned to the others.

"What did you mean when you said she was right?" Ji zue asked as he leaned back in his chair. she thought for a moment and said

"For hye rin to stay with him even after he betrayed her I'm sure there's a reason for it." Ji zue raised his brows.

"What do you think might be the reason?" he asked casually. She tilted her head and looked at him for a moment.

"Keeping her case aside tell me generally why do you think a women didn't leave the man even after he betrayed her?" she asked him instead. He thought and said carefully

"Money? conpany shares? or maybe even she's messing around with other men so she didn't mind when he had a mistress?" Song lin nodded at him.

"If its really money or company shares she's after don't you think she had enough already? she's the sole heir of hye technologies. Even today it is one of the most prominent companies. But she didn't spend a single cent from her fathers money but instead developed her career with her own hands. She never had any help from her father yet she became the godess of our city. I don't think she stayed because she wants money." she paused and looked through the documents again before saying "As for messing around, before marrying and after marrying, william is the only one she's involved with" Ji zue furrowed his brows.

"She's a good woman isn't she? " rose asked suddenly. Song lin looked at her nodded slightly before saying

"I'm 90 percent sure she's a good women but as for why she didn't leave william I'm not sure what the reason is"

"Lets say you are right about her being a good women but why do you think she's staying there beacuse of regret or for revenge?" Ling xiao asked as he looked at Cheng xi and song lin.

"Because there are too many things I'm suspicious about" she said quietly.

"What things?" Yun shen asked her. She thought for a moment and voiced her doubts.

"One :Hye rin literally dedicated her life to acting and then all of a sudden she stopped acting after she got married to him and rarely appeared in the public.

Two: There were rumors that hye rin and Williams marriage is a love marriage and if that is true all the more reason for hye rin to get revenge against him. " Song lin paused and an amused look crossed her face. She stared at them and said "You know what's most suspicious of all? Other than the mother of that three kids william has never had any other mistresses. Aside for hye rin and that women he never got involved with any other women." They all raised their brows at that. Ling xiao crossed his hands and let out a frustrated sigh.

"I found it suspicious too and no mattter how much I digged up I couldn't find out who that women is" Song lin nodded at him.

"All I found out about her is that her name is Clarissa I couldn't even find her last name. Its like she's disappeared from the face of earth"

"Did she disappear or did someone make her disappear?" the demoness asked suddenly. Song lin's face turned smug.

"Ofcourse someone made her disappear after all everyone will want to live...no one dies on their own" she said coolly. Lu chen suddenly leaned towards ling xiao and whispered to him.

"Gods help us if song lin and the demoness should ever get along" Ling xiao smiled.

"I'm sure Ji zue also feels the same way" he said giving him a sidelong glance. Song lin interrupted their chat.

"I'm sure finding out what happened to clarissa will lead us to hye rin's reason for staying there" Rose nodded but her brows furrowed.

"Hye rin seems like a good person then do you think she knows about this slave organizations and all?" she wondered aloud.

"That is what I'm not sure about. She seemed to be a good person and I even did a background check on hye technologies but I found nothing illegal. But her own son is the CEO of the company. How could he not know about all this?" Song lin sighed. If only they had more time she thought sadly. Ji zue who seemed busy going through the documents suddenly looked up at song lin.

"The time when hye technologies stopped supporting them the company didn't do so well until18years later. Then after that the company's growth is so rapid that its unbelievable.Why is that?" he asked her. She nodded and said

"That was when hye rin's son came to china to oversee the comapny here not as Ceo but as a director. He stayed here for just 5 years but managed to build their empire here without a single problem" she paused and her eyes went distant "soon after that he returned to America and william took over his father's chairmanship and hye rin's son was promoted to be the next CEO." Everyone raised their brows at that.

"Hye rin's son sure is talented" rose commented silently. Song lin took out a photo from the folder and gave it rose.

"I'm sure you've all seen him on the news. He's one of the top candidates for winning a business award this year and also the most desirable asian in the whole of asia." Lu chen laughed and said

"Surely he can't be more handsome than I am" Rose giggled

"You are no where near him Lu chen." she said as she showed everyone his photo. It was a man in a white shirt and black trousers walking on an empty road holding a cigarette to his lips. He held a jacket in the other hand. With his skin as fair as the sky he looked so striking that they couldn't take their eyes off him. There's this kind of indifferent look to his eyes like he doesn't give a damn about this world.

"Cheng xi?" ling xiao called out suddenly.
