Native Attire Part 1

Lieutenant Ridley stood for a moment staring at the Major in surprise. Moments later he gathered himself and saluted to the Major, then hurried out of the parlour.

The Major turned to the four teens. He watched as the boys all stood up from their chairs and stared at him with confused looks, while the girl who sat on the couch merely looked at the floor, holding a half-drunk glass of water.

"What is coming?" Cam questioned the Major, stepping toward the man.

The Major gave the four a welcoming smile. "Welcome, all of you to our village," he said, then clapped his hands. The four watched as two maids and six manservants entered the parlour, standing in an order line against the left wall.

"Please take our guests to the four rooms in the west wing," The Major ordered the servants.

He turned to the four and said, "I never did get your names."

Cam looked at the others and went to speak but Pierce cut in. "I'm Pierce, that's Cam, right there is Data and our girl is Sophie."

The Major nodded with a smile, "well, I promise you four I leave you in safe hands," then he left the parlour, leaving the maids and manservants.

The four teens looked at the maids and servants that now stood before them, the only people left in the room with them, each not understanding what on earth had just happened. One moment the Major was here in the room, refusing to tell them what he meant when he said "It has come," the next moment he left them there in the parlour with these eight servants.

One of the servants, a man, walked forward to stand ahead of the others. He said, "Please come with us, children."

Cam and Pierce exchanged a look as Data went to Sophie who had stood from the couch, placing her drink back onto the table. Pierce and Cam each looked at the eight servants, specifically, the maids then looked at Data and Sophie. Data had a nervous look in his eyes while Sophie kept her gaze on the floor, her eyebrows furrowed like she was thinking intensely which had the two boys wanting to ask her what was running through her mind.

Instead, they looked back at the servant. Cam was the one who spoke, "Please lead the way."

The servant bowed his head then gestured for them to follow. He made his way out of the parlour, the four teens following him. He led them through the very large building they were into a hallway that led to four individual doors.

"Each of you will receive two servants. Miss Sawyer the maids shall accompany you to your bed chambers," the man spoke, walking to the farthest door down the hallway and opened it, letting Sophie go inside with the maids. He looked at the boys, "you boys may choose your rooms. I will be out here when you are ready to lead you back downstairs to the parlour room." With that, the boys each chose a room, two manservants each following one of them.

Inside the rooms, each one of them was being waited on hand and foot.

The servants helped them undress then get into the tub. In the tub they cleaned their bodies, scrubbing away the dirt from the morning. They washed their hair, messaging their heads that had Pierce smiling.

Once done in the bath, they had each of the boys get a towel around their waist while the maids helped Sophie put on a white robe.

The servants dried the boys' bodies with towels, touching even places that had the boys jump in surprise. Done with that, they helped the boys to dress in clothes that fit in with the native people.

Data was dressed in a plain white long-sleeved shirt with plaid pants and overalls. Pierce had been dressed into a long sleeve dark grey buttoned-up shirt with plain black trousers. And finally, Cam had been dressed in a white shirt, black trousers, and overtop of the shirt was a loose button-up blazer. Each of the boys wore matching brown boots.

When the boys stepped out of their rooms behind the servants, they each eyed the others, goofy smiles taking over their expressions.

"You look ridiculous!" Pierce laughed at Cam, touching the blazer.

"Look who's talking," Data says, pointing at the shirt that looked more like a naval jersey. "You look like some rich kid from the city, down to play with the locals!"

Pierce glared at Data before he reached and grabbed the boy's overalls and snapped them against his chest. "Ow!"

Cam was about to grab Pierce who lifted his arm to punch, but all of them stopped when Data stepped between them and pointed forwards. The three of them turned to look at what Data was pointing at, only for their eyes to widen and hands to drop to their sides.

Sophie stood looking at the three of them with a glare, her one hand on her hip the other to the side with her jean jacket placed over it. "Here I was hoping you three would behave more according to where we are," she commented.

Sophie had been dressed in a long black dress with long sleeves and an open back covered only by strings like a corset. Her hair was tied into a bun with loose strands coming off to show her face and holding it up was the black ribbon.

Sophie walked to the boys, eyeing their expressions in confusion. "What?" she questioned, never seeing them look at her this way before.

Cam closed his mouth and spoke, "it's just... you-you look like a girl! A real girl!" he said, gesturing to the dress she wore.

Sophie lifted the dress to show her shoes, a grin taking over her lips. "Just because they can get me in a dress and put a stupid bow in my hair doesn't mean I'm going to break down and wear those feet cutting things they call shoes!" she told them, making each one of them laugh.

"That's the Sophie we know," Data says with a smile.

Cam wrapped his arm around Sophie's shoulder and walked alongside her behind the other two as they followed the man who was one of the three butlers in the building they now were in. Not that they knew what this building was called or where the heck they were.

The butler led them to the parlour. This time the parlour didn't just have a jug of water but also a jug with juice and a teapot. There were little snacks like finger sandwiches and different plates of cheese and meats.

"Please enjoy your lunch. The Major will return shortly," the butler says then leaves the parlour, closing and locking the door behind him.

The four teens look at the food and drinks then at each other.

"No reason to let good food and drinks go to waste," Pierce said, his stomach growling at the sight of the very expensive-looking food.

"None at all," Cam smiled.
