Newborn

"Okay, enough drinking for now!" Gregory pushed me away from him slightly.

I almost didn't let go of him because his blood made me quench my thirst as well as satisfy my hunger. But I never thought that I would see his memories from my vision from drinking his blood. It's so vivid as a dream but the only difference is that it was his memory.

Gregory wiped his blood from my lips clean with his thumb. I feel like a child who needs to be taken care of by an adult. But I like the gesture and I can get used to it. Nobody has taken care of me ever since my grandma passed away. But it's too much to ask from anyone until Gregory.

"Welcome to my world!" Gregory said to me, smiling sweetly.

I wasn't able to take a good look at him when we were on the other side. Maybe because I was so focused on Angel at that moment. Plus the fact that I was supposed to be dead. The angel of death came to bring me to the afterlife. But Gregory stops it from happening and Angel just disappears.

Gregory is about six feet tall and he has a lean body. He looks like a model from a runway because of his charms. His skin is pale white like snow. It's probably because there's no blood running through his veins. He has jet-black hair that almost touches his shoulders.

He's too perfect to be real. But here he is sitting in front of her, smiling. He has a deep set of dark brown eyes that look enchanting. Anyone who looks close to them will feel like they are floating. I'm not an exception because the more I look at his eyes, the more handsome he gets.

"Hey, baby! Are you okay?" He asked with his deep and sexy voice.

"Huh? Yeah..." That's all I can say.

Gregory laughed at my reaction and hugged me. It feels like he's so amazed at how I responded to him. Like I'm very special and the only one who can make him smile. I feel confused about how a vampire can be so affectionate and nice to me.

"You feel so warm!" I exclaimed, noticing that he feels like a human.

Gregory let go of me and kissed my cheek. After that, he looked me straight in the eye as if he's about to cry. He seems to be so emotional for a vampire. But seeing him like this made me feel guilty about calling him a pale vampire earlier. He looks at me as if he loves me!

"I just drank some blood earlier before I went to see you, that's why I'm warm." He explained.

"I also drank your blood. Is that mean…" I can't get myself to finish my question.

"Yes, baby! You're a newborn vampire now." He confirmed what I'm not sure if I want to hear.

"Alright, you have to stop calling me baby! It's making me uncomfortable." I suggested.

"But you are a baby! You're a newborn vampire. I created you and let you drink my blood." He explained in too many details.

"Let's also stop talking about drinking blood. It feels too weird for me." I replied.

"Sure, I'll give you some time to adjust. But for now, you have to change your clothes." He agreed.

Gregory got up and pointed to the dress that he wanted me to wear before walking towards the door. I also get up and check the dress to see how it looks. I picked it up and realized that it's a bridal dress without the veil. That's why it looks so white from afar.

"What's this?" I asked before Gregory could leave.

"That's your wedding dress. We're going to be married right now!" He replied casually and left.

I was left in shock after hearing what the vampire just told me. Sure, he mentioned me being his bride from the other side. But I didn't expect that the wedding would happen right away. I just woke up from traveling with the other side and drinking blood for the first time.

It looks like I don't have a choice but to wear this white dress since I'm at the mercy of that vampire. So I take off my clothes and change into a bridal dress. It's a perfect fit and I bet it looks good on me. So I look for a mirror but I don't see any inside this room.

I decided to just get out of the room and look for Greg. It's a huge place that seems to be a mansion judging from its size. I almost fall to my knees when I get out of the room. This place is not just big but the ceiling is also high. As if she's inside a cathedral or a big church.

"Greg! I'm already here." I announced loudly to make sure that he would hear me.

"Wow, you look so beautiful!" Gregory exclaimed the moment he saw me.

I would blush if I'm still human because I can feel that my cheeks feel warmer. He's been so nice to me since I woke up. Now, his compliment makes me feel embarrassed. I didn't even see myself in the mirror yet. Maybe I should ask him.

"Thanks. Where's the mirror? I don't see anything from the room." I asked.

"We don't use mirrors because we can't see our reflection there anyway." Gregory laughed.

Realization hits me and I just remember that vampires don't have a reflection from the mirror. It will be challenging to know how I look now since I can't see myself anymore.

"Where are we?" I asked instead while trying to forget about the mirror issue.

"It's the Cathedral of Saint Andrew," Gregory replied.

That's why it's so huge and the ceiling is high!

"Why are we here?" I asked, confused.

"I told you, we're getting married right now," Gregory told me and I froze.
