Chapter 12: She is...

Currently, inside a C rank dungeon.

A girl with a short blonde hairstyle can be seen currently fighting against a large spider. She was dodging its attack smoothly using only subtle movements.

Though it may have looked really easy, trickles of sweat can be seen on her forehead. It might have caused her a lot of mental capacity to focus so much.

*kheeeeee

The spider shriek as the girl pierced its heart. The lights in its eyes soon dimmed as its body turned cold.

"Haah-Hah-haa"

She gasped as she surveyed her surroundings. Her other team was almost about to finish with their opponents. She has already slain five others before the one in front of her.

The girl saw that the other members of her team were done and they were now regrouping. She heads towards them but not too close because she finds the hunters smell bad.

She covered her nose with the handkerchief she always brings with her.

"Ah! Cha Hunter-nim, you're also finished on your side?"

Said one of the members. It was their team leader assigned by the government and she finds him really annoying.

"Yes."

She nodded to his question, without explaining it any further.

The young man was not bothered by her cold treatment as he laughed it away and then turned towards the other members.

"We will rest for five minutes before we head out. The other team will continue from here."

The others nodded as they all find their own places to sit down.

The girl who was called Cha Hunter found a sit a bit far from the others. She removed the handkerchief covering her nose and finds there was no smell so she put away her handkerchief.

That was when she heard footsteps heading towards her and the smell coming out from a hunter. She took out her handkerchief again and turned to look at who was approaching her.

It was her team leader, Bin Mal-Chin, a C rank Fighter Class hunter just like her.

"Hae-in, why are you sitting here all alone?"

She gave him a look that says 'You already know and you're still asking why? You some kind of idiot bruh?'. But the shameless man has skin as thick as the Great Wall of China.

"Don't call me so intimately as we are not close to each other. My nose hurts from the smell so I am here. But you, why are you here?"

"I'm here to accompany you of course!"

"I don't need company and it would be best if you keep your distance from me."

Cha Hae-In said as she distanced herself from the shameless man who sat beside her. Bin Mal-Chin tried moving near her but he was met with the sword's tip.

"Woah, I mean no harm. I'm just really here to accompany you, okay?"

"It doesn't seem like it when you are so desperate about it, doesn't it?"

Cha Hae-In stood up and then sheathed her sword back. She turned to look at Bin Mal-Chin and said.

"Don't follow me again, or else..."

Her words trailed off as she began walking away finding another place to sit. Anywhere as long as she's far from the shameless man who keeps on annoying here with his fake facade of a kind man.

If she had no access to the information about her team members, she would have been tricked by Bin Mal-Chin's act of kindness. She had read from his portfolio that he has been suspected of violence against women. His past girlfriends suffered from his beatings and were forced to move from another place just to get away from him.

Bin Mal-Chin was unable to do anything to her as she was stronger than him. He learned about this the hard way when he tried to forcefully grab her hand in which the next moment, he finds himself staring at the ceiling with black eyes.

Finally out of the dungeon, Cha Hae-In immediately received a text message from her mother.

Jin Hyun-Aw: Sweetie, a personnel from King's Guild has contacted you. They said that you will be tested on September 25 at 8 am. You have to take a flight to the Philippines tomorrow.

Cha Hae-In was happy seeing her mother's message. She had sent an application form towards King's Guild wanting to join their guild. As they don't care about which nationality you are, King's Guild is the best choice for hunters who are aspiring to make it big.

The other countries are not even against this, as those that entered the guild can choose to remain in their own countries or move to the Philippines. Those that chose to stay are still a member of the guild and will just have to finish their monthly quota.

She replied to her mother.

Cha Hae-In: I'll be back home soon mom. Thanks for letting me know.

Her mother didn't reply, it seems that she's busy.

Cha Hae-In immediately finish all the procedures before she booked a ticket online. Her flight tomorrow is at 5 pm, she still has time to prepare things and polish her skills more.

She smiled at the thought of meeting the Rune Hero, her idol.
