CHAPTER 25

The staffs were in a state of uproar and disbelief when the news of Ha Na's death broke to them, her friends cried for her and some enemies of hers snickered in secret. Their eyes widened when they all heard of the way she died and horror filled their faces when they heard her boobs were delivered to her family members. The fragile ones almost threw up in fear and disgust and some of them probably did.

"Any of us could be next." A female staff said in fear and shuddered.

"Two of our workers have been victims, isn't that suspicious?" Another lady said and some of them nodded thoughtfully.

"What do you mean? One of our workers is the serial killer?" A male staff asked and some of them gasped in shock.

"That's impossible. What of the time he killed three highschool girls, did it mean it was a student that was the culprit? He might just be targeting people from a specific place to make us suspicious of each other while he's roaming around looking for his next victim." A lady chipped in, making more sense than the rest of them but they feared that if she was right, then any of them could be the next victim of the anonymous gift killer unless he targeted another place.

"You're right. It makes total sense." Another male staff added in. Almost immediately, a female staff rushed in interfering their discussion with a terrified expression on her face and hanging mouth which made the other staffs turn their attention to her.

"What's wrong?" They asked curiously, eager to know what was wrong.

"Fuck! I'm so scared!" She said as she closed her mouth with her hand which made the other staffs impatient on what news she had to give them and they knew it was not a good one.

"Say something!" A female staff who was already too impatient yelled.

"Haven't you seen it?" She asked and they shook their heads vigorously. "A picture of Ha Na's corpse has been leaked to the internet." She said in a horrid voice as she showed them the image on her phone and their eyes widened in pure horror. None of them could recognize the disfigured, horribly burnt and dissolved body of Ha Na with her bones sticking out. A female staff who had seen the picture collapsed as her head spun from the shocking image she had seen.

Dae Hyun watched and listened as the news of Ha Na's death spread like wild fire through out the company. Of course it would, she was always spreading the news of other's death but now the news of her death was been spread and Dae Hyun had to stifle the laughter that threatened to escape his lips but he maintained a stoic expression as he walked past the staffs who gathered in groups and discussed about Ha Na's death with different rumours to it. He was about to get in the elevator when he saw the staffs gather around a female staff that had fainted from shock.

"What's wrong?" Dae Hyun asked with a concerned expression on his face as he walked towards the female staff who had fainted.

"She just fainted after seeing Ha Na's corpse." A female staff explained and he immediately took out his phone and called an ambulance.

"Why would you show anyone that image?" He scolded the staff with a worried expression on his face as the female staff who had fainted was rolled out of the company with a stretcher and taken to the hospital in an ambulance car.

"I'm sorry sir." She apologized but he walked away.

Dae Hyun came out of the elevator to meet Min Hye as always on her work desk.

"Did you sleep well?" He said with a serious expression without implying anything but her mind drifted to the intimate night they had, she could still feel the electric pulse through her veins as she remembered the events of the other night but she managed to control herself but the blush that had slowly crept to her cheeks couldn't escape the eyes of Dae Hyun and he gave her a sarcastic smirk.

Class hadn't started for the day and Yoo Na was quietly seated waiting for the bell to ring for classes to start that morning when she saw In Ra walk in with her minions behind her. She wanted to look away and ignore her as always but she couldn't when she saw In Ra narrow her eyes wickedly to a girl sitting at the back seat in the middle row and she realized she must have been bullying her. The girl looked fragile and scared and she immediately realized that she must have been a scholarship student like her because no one conversed with her and she looked nothing like a rich kid. She was again reminded of Bae Ra who was quite weak and fragile and was prone to bullies but with her by her side, no one dared to touch her but now she was gone and she felt her heart sting in pain looking at the girl who reminded her strongly of Bae Ra.

"Your hair grew out so fast." In Ra said with a sarcastic smirk as she walked towards the girl and she yanked at her long hair making the girl wince in pain and they laughed but she didn't fight back or say anything, it seemed like she was already used to being bullied by them and she couldn't do anything about it. In Ra stretched her hand out and Da Yeon placed a scissors on it. She took a handful of her hair and was about to cut it off but Yoo Na suddenly grabbed her hand and shoved it aside aggressively making In Ra's eyes widen with shock for a moment. Everyone was surprised at her action especially the girl.

"How dare you touch her with your filthy hands?" Da Yeon yelled at her but In Ra raised her hand up gesturing for her to keep shut.

"If you're that jealous because you don't have long hair, why don't you just grow yours?" Yoo Na said, giving her a hard stare which made In Ra almost intimidated by her but her hatred for her grew stronger and if she could, she would kill her with her own hands.

"Why would I be jealous of trash like the both of you?" In Ra said in between gritted teeth.

"I said you were jealous of her long hair, not me but it seems like we've got your confession that you're indeed jealous of me because I'm prettier than you." Yoo Na retorted and the students murmured in whispers because she was right but no one would openly admit to the fact that Yoo Na was prettier than her in fear of what she would do to them. In Ra's face twisted in fury as she glared at Yoo Na with despicable eyes.

"How dare you?!" In Ra yelled as her hand almost flew across Yoo Na's face but Cha Eun caught her hand before she could land a hit on Yoo Na. Everyone's mouth left hanging open at the drama that was happening before their eyes. Cha Eun defending a poor kid who was supposedly prettier and smarter than In Ra was something that shocked the students because they knew that Cha Eun's and In Ra's parents wanted them both to be a couple when they grew up so they were known as the school's favourite couples even though they weren't and Cha Eun wasn't at all interested in In Ra.

In Ra angrily tore Cha Eun's grip from her hand.

"What in the world are you trying to do? Do you like her?" She said with the pain and anger clearly visible in her voice as she scoffed loudly.

"That's enough. The more you try to bully her, the more you'll only embarrass yourself." Cha Eun said in a calm tone but she found it even more insulting and she couldn't believe her ears.

"What? She's the only embarrassing piece of trash in this school!" She yelled angrily and out if control, not caring if they all stared but now she was furious and she vowed inwardly that she'd bring Yoo Na down, no matter what it took as she stomped out of the class in fury with her minions running after her.

"Thank you Yoo Na." Yoo Na heard the fragile girl thank her with a slightly bowed head.

"It's okay." She said with a small voice.

"I'm Jisoo." The girl introduced.

"It's nice to meet you Jisoo." Yoo Na politely said as she stared at the fragile girl. She looked nothing like Bae Ra but somehow, she felt comfortable with her probably because she was soft and fragile like Bae Ra but even though she couldn't risk being her friend and losing focus on her mission.
