"The Taming of the Ghost"

The ghost itself is part of the cemetery's third level, and if it transforms into an evil spirit, it becomes an elite third-level unit. Although the ghost doesn't have a physical body, its attack power is not always stronger than that of a ghoul. It is made up of pure energy and is immune to physical damage, but if used correctly, its ability to be invisible through walls can have many unexpected benefits.

Alex was very interested when he heard that Roddick was being stalked by a potentially evolving demonic ghost. Roddick was overjoyed that Alex was interested and quickly brought out a porcelain bottle containing a porcelain vase with mystical runes carved on it.

He explained that he had paid a large sum of money to the Wizards Association for a magic tool to seal the spirit. Alex was intrigued because the ability to tame wild undead creatures through experience with hard-skinned ghouls is a useful skill and ghosts, which are part of the cemetery's third-level apartment, can become elite third-level units if they transform into evil spirits.

Although ghosts have no substance and their attack power is not always stronger than that of a ghoul, they are part of an energy body and are immune to physical harm. If used properly, their ability to be invisible through walls could have many unexpected benefits.

However, building the "abandoned tower" that generates ghosts in the Cemetery requires 2500 psionic power, and the prerequisite building "city defence stronghold" also requires 2500 psionic power, for a total of five thousand psionic power. Alex is unsure how he will be able to wait until the year. If he wants to create elite troops, he will need to upgrade the tower to a ghost tower, which requires an additional 2500 psychic power.

Roddick was relieved to know that Alex was interested in the ghost, as if he were getting rid of a curse, and promptly pulled out a porcelain bottle containing a sealed spirit. However, the quality of the porcelain bottle was not high and could only temporarily seal the ghost, but it was not strong enough to contain the true evil spirit.

It was only a temporary solution for Roddick, especially since the ghost inside had become more agitated recently and seemed ready to break free at any moment. It had the potential to grow into a more powerful demonic spirit. When Alex activated the porcelain bottle, he received a prompt asking if he wanted to recruit the captured wild undead, and the recruitment price was actually zero dollars.

Alex was surprised to find that this ghost could be recruited without the use of psychic energy, unlike the ghouls he had encountered before. He realized that the ghost must be tamed or controlled before it could be recruited into the Cemetery.

This was a clear difference from the process of recruiting wild undead creatures in the Cemetery, which usually required the use of psychic energy. Alex had not expected to be able to recruit this ghost so easily and was intrigued by the possibility.

Alex had an opportunity to capture a ghost and turn it into an undead creature in his Cemetery. However, he decided to pause and have Roddick provide the ghost with human blood to try and transform it into a more powerful, demonic spirit.

Roddick was reluctant to do this, knowing that he would be in danger if the ghost became an evil spirit, but he had no choice but to comply when confronted with Alex's stern gaze and the presence of tall skeleton soldiers. He reluctantly cut his wrist and allowed the blood to be poured into a porcelain bottle for the ghost to consume.

The ghost inside the porcelain vase, which contained the spirit, became agitated and shouted violently when blood was poured into it. It was as if the ghost was being viewed through the mouth of the vase. The ghost's body, which had initially been white and blue, began to turn red as it absorbed the blood.

This caused the ghost's momentum to increase rapidly, and it seemed to be growing stronger. Initially, the ghost was transforming into an evil spirit, but the addition of blood accelerated the change process. The rapid expansion of momentum and strength caused the porcelain bottle to crackle as if it was about to break at any moment.

Alex paid no attention to Roddick, who was trembling with fear, and focused on the inside of the porcelain bottle. Alex was now almost certain that the ghost named Franz did not appear spontaneously. It must have been a necromancer who identified this person's special physiology and deliberately killed them, turning them into a ghost.

The ghost was then intentionally released and enhanced by consuming bloodthirsty murders. Once it reached maturity, it would come to collect its reward. At this point, Alex had a realization: Cristiano! Alex, the renowned necromancer in the neighbouring city, strongly suspected that this evil spirit was connected to this individual.

Alex sneered, "No matter who's plan this is, they've gone to great lengths to prepare a bridal gown for me." His expression immediately hardened, and the porcelain bottle vibrated more violently as the ghost inside was ready to be infused with blood.

It was just one step away from evolving into an evil spirit, breaking out of the porcelain bottle, and escaping. Alex swiftly crushed the porcelain bottle on the ground with a flick of his hand. The pottery shattered with a click, and a dark crimson light emitted from within, heading towards the rebellious Roddick. Roddick was obsessed with ghosts and loathed them even more after becoming an evil spirit.

He would have to be destroyed first when he appeared. Alex was certain of this, and when he broke the porcelain bottle, he decided to recruit in the Cemetery immediately.

At this point, the evil spirit had just been created, and Alex broke the porcelain bottle on his own initiative. However, the evil spirit did not break free, so even though the porcelain bottle was shattered, the magic circle formed by the magic runes on it did not collapse immediately. It continued to hold for less than half a second. Alex was only interested in this half-second window.

He discovered that the newly promoted evil spirit was still being held by the magical circle, and he made the quick decision to recruit and include it in the cemetery. Alex had planned all of this in his head, but he had no idea if it would succeed. He nervously waited after making the decision to recruit.

If the recruitment failed, Alex would call in all the zombie troops to besiege. At the same time, the evil spirit completely broke free from the surviving magical circle of the porcelain vase, but a new, more complex, revolving circular magic circle formed beneath its feet. The wicked spirit was enveloped in a beam of light emanating from the magical circle.

The wicked spirit fought fiercely, but it was bound by the light and, with a flash, was dragged into the magical circle. A dark red wicked spirit materialized on the ruins of the abandoned tower in the Cemetery the next second.

This wicked spirit, like the hard-skinned ghoul at the beginning, had a brief moment of confusion, suspended in a daze, its eyes wavering, its soul swaying, and it went into deep contemplation. The demonic spirit began to move after a full two minutes, although it was no longer bloodthirsty like in the outside world.

The serene and slow-moving evil spirit resembled a jellyfish, giving it a peaceful appearance. Only Alex knew that the dark-red, blood-coloured evil spirit within this soul possessed far greater fighting capability.

Evil Spirit Franz: a Level 3 elite soldier with a combat power of 11.9 and a recruitment cost of forty-five. Its fighting power is 31% greater than that of the Level 2 elite weapon, the hard-skinned ghoul, and is nearly twice as powerful as the firearm skeleton soldier.

It also has three magical abilities: "Hidden Spirit," "Scream of the Evil Spirit," and "Death Seal." The first spell allows it to become invisible and lurk, the second allows it to attack ultrasonically, and the third allows it to trap a portion of the enemy's vitality with its own terrible thoughts. When Alex saw this, he was pleased.

He did not want to fight this evil spirit while still being able to bring three magics, especially the two "Scream of the Evil Spirit" and "Death Seal" magics. The first magic, "Hidden Spirit," is a ghost talent, but the second and third are both serious undead spells. "Scream of the Evil Spirit" is a second-ring spell that attacks the opponent with high-frequency ultrasonic waves caused by the vibrating of the spiritual body. "Death Seal" is a three-ring magic that allows the evil spirit to become a Level 3 elite unit when possessed.
