In the mysterious realm of Kalvon, where shadows whispered tales of Kings and Queens, none were as infamous as King Jetaime. Whispers echoed through the cobblestone corridors and darkened chambers of the palace, painting a macabre portrait of a heartless sovereign scarred by the cruelty of fate. His legs, so the tales spun, were lifeless appendages, and his face, a grotesque canvas of boils. His was a visage that struck terror into the hearts of those who dared imagine it. Yet, destiny took an unforeseen turn on the eve of a grand wedding night. Princess Jaelyn, cursed and hidden away within the confines of Malavon Castle, was the unwilling pawn in a malevolent game of power. Her name, synonymous with evil, and her every step marked by the devil's touch. However, as she stepped into the grand hall to meet her monstrous groom, a man emerged before her, shattering the grotesque image painted by gossip. King Jetaime stood not as the rumored monster, but as a vision of unexpected sweetness, love, and undeniable handsomeness. The discrepancy between the tales and the reality sparked a whispered question in the minds of those who witnessed this surreal union — had she unwittingly married an imposter, or were the rumors nothing more than twisted fragments of a darker imagination? As King Jetaime and Princess Jaelyn embarked on their tumultuous journey, the chessboard of power and revenge unfolded. Locked in a dance of secrets and hidden motives, the two found themselves entangled in a love that defied the expectations set by the world. The King, who had never allowed anyone close, now placed his heart willingly in her hands. Princess Jaelyn, driven by the flames of vengeance, found an unexpected ally in the man she was supposed to despise. Together, they navigated the treacherous waters of courtly politics, facing a power struggle fueled by conspiracies that threatened to tear them apart. In the battle between love and destiny, the question lingered like an ethereal mist — was their connection a mere human maneuver or a divinely fated love? As the story unfolded, the narrative wove a tapestry of twists and turns, challenging the very essence of their existence. Could love truly conquer all things, or were some cases destined to be eternally hopeless? Two empty hearts, two lives devoid of love, collided in a dance of darkness and light. A monster king and an evil queen united to become one, their journey unfurling like a forbidden scroll. The world watched with bated breath as the saga unfolded — a tale of love, betrayal, and the relentless pursuit of a destiny that defied the predetermined life. Cover by Java graphics.
Lyn kept running unaware of where she was or where she was running to she step on her gown and fell to the ground. "Your Highness, are you okay?" Lyn suddenly heard the guard's voice running to her side, but unfortunately, he is a man and cannot touch the queen. He couldn't help her up even when he wanted to. He is to stay five meters away from the queen.
"My queen, are you hurt?" His voice came through again. Lyn was still lying on the floor sobbing. Her gown made her unable to get up on her own without any assistance. She had little energy left to struggle with her gown.
"My queen, hang in there let me call for help," the guard said, not knowing what to do. He was reluctant to leave the sobbing queen on the floor while standing there he wouldn't be able to help her. He finally decided to go call for help. Right then Moesha came running in their direction much more in pain than the queen herself.
"My lady," she cries ignoring the king's orders. Lyn turns her head in her direction. Lyn inhaled sharply when she saw her handmaid, Moesha who was also her best friend, giving her a sad glance.
"Moesha," she cried out more as Moesha runs to hug her on the floor. "It's over now, I'm here no one can harm you," Moesha mumbled as she held Lyn's trembling hands.
"Let's get you out of here and out of this gown," Moesha says as Lyn sniffs and gave her a feeble smile.
"Your Highness, should I notify the king?" The guard that found Lyn asked. "Don't you dare," Moesha replied turning to look at the man who was frightened by her gaze.
"O-okay," he was smart enough to know the king was the reason for the queen's miserable state. Moesha helps Lyn up and walks her from there. Moesha wishes she could take Lyn's hand and run away from there at the very least she wishes she protect her from the monsters in the palace.
She couldn't because the king the most powerful person in the land is among the monsters, and she had to fight to protect the queen. "What happened to the queen?" Pana asked when she saw Moesha and the queen. Moesha was not in any state to answer to anyone matchless to her.
"I asked what happen to the queen. If you don't tell me what is going on how do I report back to the king?" Pana asked as she tried to help her out to take the queen to her chamber, Moesha gave her a sharp gaze yanking her hand away when she tried to touch the queen.
"You stay away from her! All of you!!!" Moesha barks once again like a hen protecting its chicks. "You don't have that right Moesha mind you I am the queen's handmaid, not you," Pana argues back, she wouldn't let Moesha push her around. Lyn walks to her bed and sat down staring into the air, she was really scared that she still needs time to shake it off.
Moesha was tired listening to Pana blubbering, she grabs her hand and drag her to the entrance of the chamber, "I don't know who you secretly report to but listen to me carefully you better watch your back, you see these hands, they bite. Don't let me catch you or find out you betray the queen," Moesha threaten shoving her out.
"W-What are you talking about? I-I will never, never ever betray the queen," Pana shuttered looking nervous. "For your own sake you better be telling the truth else I will give you the most painful death ever," Moesha added closing the door in her face. She walks back to Lyn who was still staring in a daze.
"My lady you need to snap out of this, I'm going to lift you up now so you can change into something more comfortable," Moesha said before helping the queen up, she helps her out of her gown into something more comfortable. "Please don't leave me," Lyn begs holding Moesha's hand I'm not going anywhere my lady," Moesha mumbles helping her lie down.
....
"What happen?" a voice asked, her face covered. "I don't know much your highness. The queen returned in a very terrible state. I'm sure your plan worked." Pana whispered looking around to make sure no one was around.
"Now where is the hairpin?" the person she was whispering to asked. "I think I misplaced it; I swear I hid it in one of the maid's things but when I came back it wasn't there," she said nervously.
"Stupid! you can't do anything right. You better find it and bring it to me," the voice said angrily. "Yes, your highness, I can't continue spying on the queen for you, Moesha, the queen's savage maid is starting to suspect me," Pana murmured. "Be careful not to be seen then," the voice said walking away. Pana looks around before heading back to the queen's chamber.
Jetaime comes out and witnesses everything, he saw Pana talking to the mysterious person, even though he didn't see the person but she still betrayed him and the queen, and for that, she has to pay with her life.
Jetaime went over to see Lyn who hasn't left her bed and Moesha hasn't left her side either, the two of them haven't eaten or drunk anything, just like old times, and they stare into the skies lost in their own world. A world that is fair and they are loved and happy.
"Your Highness, you need to eat something, else you will fall sick," Madam Yina edge Lyn to eat or drink something but none of them moved a muscle. "My dear, I know what happen scared you but you must understand the king, he was furious because that hairpin means a lot to him and to this Kingdom.
Yes his action was wrong so wrong but the king is not a bad person," Madam Yina tried to speak on the king's behalf but it was music to their ears.
"Leave us," Jetaime ordered stepping into the queen's bed chamber, Madam Yina set the tray on the side table and walk to the door. "Moesha," Madam Yina called her out to leave the room with her. Moesha stands in the way blocking the King's way.
"Moesha, step down now," Madam Yina warns trying to prevent Jetaime from letting his anger out on her but Moesha didn't care, when she promised to protect the queen, she might be against anyone that may hurt her.
"What do you think you are doing standing in my way?" Jetaime roars. Lyn was still lying on the bed facing the other side. "The queen is tired and not receiving visitors please head back," Moesha manage to say while keeping her anger under control.
"Moesha!" Madam Yin feared for her life but she didn't care.
"Make sure she eats something," Jetaime said folding his hand behind his back and walking out of the room, Madam Yina bows as she walks away, he stops at the door to glance at Lyn lying on the bed not moving an inch and move his gaze back on Moesha. They had eye contact briefly before Moesha lowered her gaze.
Madam Yina was speechless and glad the king didn't leach his anger on her, she has been with the king since he was a boy but won't dare stop him or challenge him.
