Nakami had dug a giant hole to dispose of the rabbit remains. He planned to burn them once the girls were inside. The hole was far from his base, so he had to use his log cart to transfer the remains. At 2 AM, Nakami transferred the last of the remains to the hole.
The girls had washed the ground with water, but Nakami knew that he would need to use soap or another cleaning agent to properly clean the area. He instructed the girls to stay inside and clean themselves before sleeping, as they looked exhausted.
"Thank you for your help. I'll take care of the rest. Get some rest, you've earned it," Nakami said gratefully. The girls nodded and headed inside, relieved to finally get some sleep.
Nakami started to burn the remains, staying close by to ensure that the fire didn't spread towards the forest. Fortunately, there was no wind that night, and the fire stayed under control. After an hour of keeping watch, Nakami decided that it was safe to leave the hole, as the fire was no longer a threat.
As he made his way back to his base, Nakami couldn't help but feel grateful for the help the girls had provided. He knew that he wouldn't have been able to clean up the area alone, and their willingness to assist him was a reminder of the kindness of others.
It was past 3AM when Nakami finally reached his house and collapsed onto his bed. After a short nap, he woke up and checked his phone notification.

With a sense of relief, Nakami began to process the rabbit remains, dividing them into smaller parts to be frozen or eaten. He also kept the animal fat, deciding to use it to make soap or detergent. He knew he could transmute it into something better as long that he got some E to use.
Nakami spent nearly an hour processing the rabbit remains, and then began preparing breakfast for himself and the girls. Knowing they were likely exhausted, he decided to let them sleep in and made a hearty mushroom soup with some of the remaining meat. He left it in the kitchen for them to reheat and eat whenever they woke up.
As the sun began to rise, Nakami headed out to check on the hole where he had burned the remains. He was relieved to see that most of the flesh had been consumed by the fire, leaving only bones behind. Unfortunately, the stench still lingered in the air.
He brought his log cart with him and went to mine some coal and gold ores, while also gathering some fruits. After some time, he returned to his base.
It was just past 10AM and the girls were already awake, with Alice busy tending to the farms while Sarah was still sleeping.
"Good morning, Alice. If you're still feeling tired, don't force yourself too much. It'll only get worse if you get sick," Nakami said as he approached Alice.
"Morning, sir. Thank you, but I feel bad resting knowing that you're out there working hard to improve this place. Don't worry, sir, I'll stop when I feel like I should," Alice replied as she continued farming.
Nakami went to Sarah's house to find her still sleeping. She looked extremely tired, and he was sure that she had pushed herself too hard last night to help him clean the area.
"Maybe I should let the girls have [Night Owl]." Nakami thought after seeing Sarah's exhausted appearance while she slept.
Nakami spent the morning making as many steel arrows as he could before lunch. He wanted to be prepared in case those rabbits attacked again tonight, or if something even more dangerous came to attack them. He managed to make 500 steel arrows, using 100E to restock the iron metal with his skills, and a quarter of it was used to make the arrows.

He called Alice to let her know that he was going to skip lunch and dig trenches outside the wall to cover their base. The trenches would be filled with water from the spring or reservoir if needed. He dug to a depth of 5 meters and a width of 3 meters, managing to complete 80% of the trenches in 4 hours.
Nakami went back to the base to clean himself before starting to make wooden drawbridges with metal gears. He wanted to be able to cross the trenches he had dug outside the base. He only had two gates for now, but he planned to expand his base towards the beach, so he left the trenches incomplete.
Two hours later, the wooden bridges had been installed and could be opened and closed with a lever. Alice and even Sarah could easily control it. While doing this, Nakami built wooden walls of the same height as the stone walls and later upgraded them together with the bridges.

By expanding his base, he completed the trenches with three bridges. Nakami hadn't filled the trenches with water yet since he needed to connect them with the bridges while ensuring the water flowed. It would be difficult to clean the trenches later if the water didn't flow, especially if monsters attacked.
He completed everything for today, and the sun just fell. He cleaned himself before dinner since he told the girls that dinner is compulsory tonight.
Nakami, who had just finished cleaning up, entered the dining area to find Alice and Sarah already sitting and waiting for him. Alice made grilled meat and fish for dinner, along with some fruit juice to drink.
"Good evening, everyone. I hope you had a good day. I have a surprise for you both after dinner," Nakami said, as he began eating and gesturing for them to join in.
"Thank you, sir," they both replied before starting to eat.
Nakami started the class first and teach them more about technologies that he would make later in the future. He also taught them how to make soup just like the one he made today morning while also teaching them how to preserve foods with the freezer and so on. An hour just gone just like that.
"Alright, do you remember the surprise I promised you earlier? This skill will enhance our abilities as humans during the night. Consider it a thank-you gift for your help yesterday, and for being concerned about my safety," Nakami said in a soft voice, feeling grateful to have the girls by his side.
Upon hearing this, Alice started to cry. "Sob, sob, sob... There were too many of them yesterday, and we were so useless when we ran out of arrows... I was so scared you'd get hurt, sir... Sob, sob," she said, tears streaming down her face. Nakami let her talk and cry for a few minutes, while Sarah stood beside him, holding his hand and crying softly.
Nakami comforted them both by patting their heads and then proceeded to give them the new skill.

Nakami spent some time explaining about how [Night Owl] works before they started shooting for today skit to be posted later. He had uploaded some videos to be learn by the girls before so the skit would always be the last thing to do.
Two hours later, Nakami finished posting the skill and allowed the girls to do as they please. However, he reminded them to get enough sleep before 1AM, even with their new enhancement.
With an hour to spare before 11PM, Nakami decided to spend 100E to learn more about building engines for vehicles. He wanted to expand his capabilities and work with bigger machinery like tractors and jeeps in the future.

Nakami would always spent 100E to gain extra knowledge, but he never regretted it. He always prioritized expanding his knowledge, as it complemented his transmutation skills perfectly. With his newfound understanding, he developed a theory on how the transmutation skill worked.
According to his theory, the amount of E used in transmutation was directly related to the knowledge he had about the object being transmuted, as well as the materials used in the process. In other words, the more he knew about the object and the materials, the less E he needed to complete the transmutation.
[E cost = Knowledge X Materials]
As Nakami stepped outside, he noticed the wind picking up and clouds gathering in the sky. He had a feeling that it would rain soon, possibly within a few hours.
Acting quickly, he began digging trenches to connect to the sea. The trenches would store excess water and ensure that the surrounding area didn't flood. After an hour of hard work, Nakami connected the trenches to the reservoir and spring, and filled them with water.
Even though it was already 2AM, the trenches were still being filled. However, Nakami knew he had to stop transferring water from the sources earlier because the rain had started to fall. It would be a waste to use the spring water to fill the trenches when the rain would provide enough water.
