I'm Kurah!

Lolita only noticed someone standing in her path when she was just a few steps away from Minnie.

She raised her brow in question at the teenager as she realized she had no ill intentions toward her. Why then would she block her path?

"You were absolutely Awesome! Stranger," declared Minnie in a cheerful voice. "What do I call you friend?"

Lolita remained silent when the young girl announced with her hands stretched in front of her, "Hi! I'm Kurah"

Lolita veered her eyes away and bypassed her without saying absolutely anything. She gave a noncommittal nod and walked off expressionlessly.

Kurah smiled stupidly and couldn't wait to find out the identity of the badass stranger whom she just met.

She did not bother reporting her decision to her extremely fake friends as she turned around to exit the court when she suddenly spotted her entourage from the corner of her eyes.

Said group was indeed shocked to see Kurah being snubbed by a fellow teenager.

They thought she was the youngest in the school but seeing the person who just ignored her made them feel a sense of crisis.

They all approached Minnie and tried sucking up to her. Being a witness to the team that brought her to the students' lodge, the group is well aware of Minnie's standing in society.

Ortiz made a very big deal of Minnie's arrival at the Greencrest Central University.

As Minnie tried to escape while her brother was indisposed, Ortiz who knew very well that he couldn't stop her laid the condition down, that she had to leave in all the glamour and splendour that befits her status.

To date, when Minnie Kurah Smith remembers the conversation she had with Ortiz, she just can't help thinking that the latter was treating her like his daughter. Meanwhile, the two were just four years apart, with Ortiz being the older of the two.

In his words, Minnie deserves the best treatment she could possibly get, even if she's to go far away from home. That was the only way to save both their heads.

Minnie ignored her sidekicks who keep fawning over her like she was a fool. She really needs a true friend and the badass archer fits her requirements perfectly.

For the first time in her life, Minnie had to pursue another person, in hopes of having her as a friend. For someone who knows how fake people can be, she sensed the unadulterated sincerity in the heart of Lolita.

Another equally strong emotion was also dwelling in there, but she doesn't care at the moment. What she knows is that she must pursue her newfound friend.

As Minnie walked away from the group, her phone suddenly rang and she could tell exactly who was calling.

Without checking her screen to confirm who it was, she pressed her Blue tooth device to accept the call and says "daddy Ortiz! Minnie is really doing well, thank you!"

Ortiz on the other side, far away from Greencrest could feel the vibrations in his heart, as something was stirring deep down in his heart like a sleeping lion was being awoken.

After a few seconds of silence, he recovers his wit and says "it's good to know you are adapting well Miss! Is there anything you might need?"

Minnie responded with a very beautiful and seemingly harmless smile on her face, "how about recalling the shadow guards? I can smell them from far away you know!"

Ortiz gave a forceful smile himself and responded in a clear patronizing tone, "I'm really grateful to you for keeping them alive to date. Thank you for your magnanimity Miss!"

Minnie felt like she was talking to herself all along because nothing she said could affect Ortiz in any way. She could only end the call in anger without giving prior notice to her newfound 'father'.

Minnie could only catch a shadow of her newfound friend as she zoomed away on her unbranded motorbike.

She could clearly make out the brand of the motorbike, even though there was no logo as she happens to be an avid lover of motorbikes herself.

The only downside is that she was never allowed near any motorbike.

Lolita couldn't help feeling relief about her decision to have an archery court in her house. She will obviously rid herself of all the unnecessary attention like what she just drew to herself unintentionally.

Making a stop at the school of medicine, Lolita walked into the building and followed the signs that led to the registration center for freshmen.

After registering and receiving everything she might need for a smooth stay during the semester, Lolita was about to exit the school when someone suddenly called for her from behind.

She halted her steps and looked behind her, only to find a student clad in a white lab coat running towards her.

"Excuse me, Miss Clint, professor Mason would like to have a word." When she realized that Lolita made no effort to follow her, she pointed to her books and further explained "he's your assigned mentor for the first year. You might want to check for that information in the green book you're holding"

Lolita made no effort to check for the information but requested the slender white lady before her to lead the way.

There was no need for her to check the validity of the information as she could already tell that the student before her was clearly telling the truth and that she was not lying.

Lolita was shown a seat as the

white-lab-coat-clad student offered her water and left to inform the professor about her arrival.

In Professor Mason's office, the forty-year-old was sitting with a woman of about thirty years sitting across from him.

The most noticeable features about her happen to be her fiery red hair as well as the dark sunglasses she had on, even in an enclosed space without the scorching sun anywhere present.

Unknown to all those who have been in contact with the red beauty, she hides away her equally red eyes with the sunglasses.

Everyone around her concludes that she tries to hide her identity behind the sunglasses while looking chic at the same time.

Many are also of the view that her hair was coloured red, just to add to her charm.

Rubeetha didn't want to scare her possible allies away with the sight of her normal eye colour, which happens to be red.

Besides, who wouldn't be afraid of a human with fiery red pupils instead of a dark one?
