The Fight

Looking at the damage caused by my arrow i couldn't help but sigh after all even a full powered arrow only managed to make it bleed slightly.

But it was expected after all I am only a level 4 hunter while the beast was a deadly level 10 monster, Even being able to damage it slightly was ridiculous.

"Commence the 2nd attacking pattern" I said with my left hand on my scanner and it reacted immediately as a path of attack was now in my view.

"Erina you stay here and keep the tiger from falling apart, I will control it and deal with that over grown rat" I gave my orders and immediately she got down from the Tiger and stood there on standby.

I immediately dashed off towards the giant creature that instilled fear in every being near it including me however cowering without fighting was not my style.

Rather even though I am terrified I am more excited to fight such a strong creature.

Rushing towards the giant beast I took out some arrows that had magic circles imprinted at the top of them.

These were the arrows that I had prepared just in case I faced an overwhelming monster and this was the perfect time, Due to the insignificant damage I caused to he monster it didn't even turn around.

"Bastard you will regret that" I said with an excited smirk as i looked at the back of the Giant Rat, my bow aimed itself and I released 3 arrows in quick succession.

*Boom* *boom* *Boom*

The AI aimed at the exact spot I had previously hit and all three of the explosions took place at the exact spot causing a lot more damage.

*Screech*

It released an extremely loud screech from all three of its mouths which made everyone present there cover their ears, Some even fainted and fell down with blood flowing out of their ears.

The beast immediately turned around and looked towards the direction that the arrows had come from and it gritted its teeth.

"Haha told ya" I said as I rushed towards the beast and continued to shoot the explosive arrows, This time it was prepared as it dodged a lot of arrows from the sounds.

However it still had a limit as many arrows still landed on it and did a lot of damage, Each spot where the arrows exploded there was a massive hole in the flesh that continuously leaked blood.

For others it probably looked like I was attacking a bunch of random spots and weakening the monster, But that was not the case.

Rather each of the arrows were focused on the joints of the beast, I needed to restrict it's movement before commencing the 2nd part of my plan.

If I went into close range of the monster immediately I would be outclassed in agility and pretty much destroyed in seconds however by attacking it from a distance and using the fact that the boss couldn't come out of the boss room for my advantage I easily started to slow the beast.

The damage started to pile up as the movements of the Rat started to slow down at a visible rate and the soldiers inside the room could only stare with awe.

The same beast that they were having trouble with was practically being toyed with in front of them.

But due to the darkness they couldn't see the attacker but only the explosions, The soldiers had also used this opportunity to Drag Alex back towards the corner to keep him safe.

Looking at the speed of the Rat i confirmed that it was now slower compared to before and my tiger could easily outrun it. Immediately I stopped attacking from far away and rushed inside of the boss room where the rat was waiting.

He immediately rushed towards us with his mouth wide open wanting to chomp down on us, But before his jaw could close the tiger jumped off the floor barely dodging the bite.

But it's attack was not over, the other mouths were still aiming for us.

It pounced at us with its other mouth and we were mid air with no ability to dodge the attack or rather that's what everyone thought,

"NO DODGE THE OTHER MOUTH" Shouted a random soldier that was rooting for me but I just smirked as a small platform of Earth appeared and the tiger used it as a foot hold and jumped again dodging the attack.

I immediately activated my skill [Offence dome] as a bunch of platforms appeared which surrounded the rat in all directions forming a giant dome.

"Commencing second phase" Came the sound from my scanner as the final battle truly began.

*Chomp* *Chomp* *Chomp*

The rat quickly released 3 bite attacks in quick succession which we barely dodged but the last one that was incoming couldn't be dodged.

I used my arrow and launched perfectly aiming at its throat,

*Fwip* *Boom* *Screech*

It acreeched loudly again as i continued to dodge and shoot several of my arrows towards the beast, However if anyone paid attention there were currently more arrows stuck in the ceiling than there were arrows on the rats body.

Jake was currently shooting the rat with explosive arrows however he was also shooting normal arrows at the ceiling that slowly started to take shape.

All of the soldiers and Alex were focusing on the battle and didn't even notice the accumulation of arrows on the ceiling, But Erina immediately recognised the similarity in the pattern and was surprised.

"To think just by seeing it once he was able to recreate it and use it in battle" Even Erina who was considered quite the genius for awakening her element at such a young age was shocked.

Shot after shot damage kept accumulating on the giant beast while arrows kept accumulating at the ceiling but then suddenly instead of revolving around the beast The tiger jumped towards the group of soldiers around Alex.

"STOP DONT BRING IT HERE! WE WILL DIE" shouted one of the soldiers but Jake wasn't planning on anything like that.

The way the soldier shouted annoyed Jake and he decided to change his actions, He was planning fon creating 5 hands of Earth and bringing the group back to safety.

But 5 hands mean 5 humans to carry which would significantly slow them down, Instead he created 4 hands now and picked all of the 3 other soldiers and Alex and started to rush towards the entrance.

"WAIT SAVE ME TOO!" shouted the soldier as he chased behind the tiger but he was too slow as the rat who was chasing Jake stepped on the soldier crushing him.

Just as the group reached near the entrance the rat also reached near the group as it's teeth were right behind the group.

Just as it was about to bite them Jake released an arrow towards the monster, Due to the continuous damage from the arrows he instinctively dodged the arrow and it hit the ceiling.

But as the arrow hit the ceiling a green light shone as a magic circle was formed and the ceiling which was made of bricks turned into quick sand as it fell down all at once.

That's right Jake had recreated the previous trap and used it in the boss fight, As the sand fell it immediately buried the giant monster killing it in an instant.
