Friday Coffee

"If you wanted to jump me all you had to do is ask, but since you've thrown yourself at me

…" he purrs in my ear as I cringe away from him.

I mumble words of apology to both men as I try to right myself and get back into a formation of a line.

"I'm willing accept a kiss as an apology," Sean shrugs.

The monster of a man in front of me begins to turn slowly around for the first time since my graceful introduction. He is big. I momentarily wonder how many men he's eaten for breakfast to have such a build? I don't recognize him, and he'd certainly be impossible to miss.

He doesn't spare a glance down at me, but hold solid eye contact with Sean. He is menacing. I probably could have wet myself had his gaze been directed at me. There's something intriguing about him but I can't quite put my finger on it. He's handsome no doubt, but it's almost like he's holding a deathly secret.

"You shouldn't touch a mate that's not yours boy," the monsters voice resonates deeply.

"Boy? Excuse me, but do you have any idea who I am?!" Sean lashes back. Clearly he can't keep the alpha testosterone infused attitude at bay.

At this, the air around us thickens more. The stranger lowers his stance into a slight hunch. I have a mask of shock on my face, I can't believe first anyone would say that and secondly have the confidence to say it to the alphas son, aka future alpha.

I look at Sean and then back at the stranger. What was to be a glance turns into staring. He does not break eye contact from Sean behind me. Even though he is clearly something to be feared, I take in his features for the first time. He is kinda beautiful… in a masculine kind of way. He has striking golden eyes, with shiny flecks swimming in them.

But I hear Seans movement behind me, breaking me from my trance. I start to turn my head but pause as the stranger growls. It's low and it's feral-scary enough to make all the conversations fall silent. The hair on my neck spikes.

I might get whiplash today! My eyes are immediately back on the monster of a man. I'm rooted in my place as sheer fear courses through my veins. Gone are the honey smooth eyes, in their place are solid black soulless orbs.
