It was silent in the car as they started to drive and Ariel just wasn't sure how to talk to him without feeling awkward and thinking about what she'd done. She just watched out the window arguing with herself about what had happened. She felt bad. How could she do that with her sister's fiancé? Being drunk wasn't an excuse, she was a failure as a sister. No real sister would do such a thing.
"You did well Ariel, you know that right?" Malachi said because he could see that she was getting lost in her thoughts and they didn't look happy. So he decided to distract her.
Malachi knew she'd start dwelling so he felt that he should get her mind off of it. After all he'd done it too, and he wasn't sorry about it. She shouldn't be either, actually she should be happy to get back at her sister. That he would want her more. But this was Ariel and she notoriously let things eat at her and put others first.
"I did well at what?" She asked.
