Kill the Beast

Each day that passed since the inception of the Beast Incursion bore heavily on human civilization.

Each day, countless people died.

Each day felt like a year as the horrors of the Beast Incursion seemed to slow the passage of time down in a manner reminiscent of the manifold. 

In just the span of a week, half a millennium worth of human establishment and history was wiped out as the beast tide began overrunning much of it. The people that resided in the fallen nations, polities, and organizations were unable to escape and flee.

They all perished.

However, the same could not be said for Martial Artists.

Although countless Martial Artists perished in the destroyed portion of human civilization, countless more retreated after it became clear that they would be unable to turn the tides, literally, and would merely be dying a vain death.
