Magic Duel Arc: Chapter 17: New Friendships.

Valoran and Demonlise are preparing to travel back to the future.

However, Valoran has a gift for Demonlise.

"Demonlise I have something for you to keep"

Demonlise then turns around curiosity is written all over his expression.

"What is it"

Valoran reaches into his pocket... he opens up his fist and reveals that he is holding Hiliams fragment.

"A fragment?"-Demonlise asks in confusion.

"It was your father's."-Valoran reveals.

"Why do you have it?"-Demonlise questions in spite of his father.

"I want you to absorb it and gain all of your strengths, abilities and knowledge, I also infused the fragment with an infinitesimal amount of my nirvana flames to further enhance the fragment's power, only use nirvana when there is no other option it might be a small amount but it's enough to cause serious damage and it increases the power of the fragment exponentially."-Valoran explains.

" I do not want to absorb that God's fragment, it was the source for my mother's suffering along with the suffering of others"-Demonlise replies in a spiteful tone.

Valoran then puts his hand on Demonlise's shoulder.

"Demonlise. Use that power to do good, use that power to correct the mistakes your father and many other gods have done. Use that power to help those who can't help themselves. You use that power the right way" Valoran says with a smile.

Demonlise is touched and is becoming convinced to use that power from his father to correct the mistakes his father has made.

"All right let's do it" -Demonlise says motivated.

Valoran removes Demonlise's fragment and pulls it toward Hiliam's fragment.

Valoran has Hiliam's fragment in his left hand and Demonlise's fragment in his right hand.

Valoran moves his hands closer together until the fragments meet each other and begin to fuse.

A small bright light is being emitted... After a few seconds, the fusion process was completed.

"What was once two is now one"-Valoran explains to Demonlise and holds a single fragment in his right hand.

" Now I will return this to you, you will gain greater power more than you could possibly imagine, however, you will feel excruciating pain far worse than death. Your body at its current state can't handle that much power all at once being dropped into your body. I will cast vita (healing magic) around you to heal your body faster than it is being destroyed. "-Valoran explains.

"There is no going back, let's begin"-Demonlise says without hesitation.

Valoran levitates the fragment slowly into Demonlise's body and casts three vita magic circles around Demonlise (one below, one to his right and one to his left).

The fragment is now inside Demonlise's body...

"AHHHHH!"-Demonlise screams in pain due to the fragment's immeasurable power as his body drops to the floor

Valorans healing magic prevents Demonlise's body from being destroyed.

"Just a little longer"-Valoran speaks to reassure Demonlise.

Another 3 minutes pass when finally the fragment is now accepted in Demonlises body.

"We did it"-Valoran utters in slight relief.

Demonlise is on the floor exhausted and breathing heavily.

" Yes... we... did "-Demonlise says out of breath.

Demonlise regains his stamina and strength within seconds due to his fragment having fused with Hiliam's fragment and an infinitesimal amount of nirvana.

"I feel stronger, all that power, all that knowledge I never thought I would get this powerful"-Demonlise says with his eyes wide open.

" You must always suppress your powers if you don't, it will be too much for the world to tolerate. Nirvana will be used for emergencies. I granted you nirvana for defence rather than offence. You gained all your father's strengths on top of your own, use that power to do good never make me regret gifting you all that power or I will end you"-Valoran directly speaks to make Demonlise just how dangerous he can be and the power he wields.

"I understand, you changed today's fate you saved my mother from certain doom I will always serve you."-Demonlise states with loyalty.

Demonlise kneels in front of Valoran.

"Please let me address you as my master and lord you are the future Magic King. My mind does not doubt that. "-Demonlise pleads.

Valoran towering over Demonlise.

"If I become the next Magic King I need a powerful right-hand man, you would make an excellent right-hand man"-Valoran states with a tiny smile.

"I will serve you for all eternity."-Demonlise faithfully swears.

"Then rise, my friend"-Valoran speaks to Demonlise in a friendly tone.

Demonlise gets back up on his feet, and they both shake hands.

" It's time to head back to the future"-Valoran voices.

Valoran casts ridim (time manipulation magic) and opens up a space-time portal.

They both run through the portal the same way they have travelled in the past too.

They arrive at the Arena exactly at the moment they have left from.

Artemisa is standing in the middle of the arena with everyone still frozen in time including the capital.

"I'm glad to see you're both still alive"-Artemsia says mockingly with a sarcastic tone

" Have you lost faith in me?"-Valoran sarcastically asks.

Demonlise has questions to ask for Valoran...

"Master, gods are immune to time paradoxes and have endless layers of resistances against all types of nullifications and are not easy to kill. Does that mean he is alive right now?"-Demonlise asks with worry.

Valoran faces the concerned Demonlise.

" Do not worry about your father being alive in any timeline."-Valoran reassures Demonlise.

Valoran is pointing to someone in the audience.

"Look"-Valoran says.

Demonlise is looking to where Valoran is pointing to...

He is seeing his mother in the audience.

"Mother"-Demonlise says with a tear running down his cheeks because of joy.

" Thank you master you saved my mother I will forever be in your debt"-Demonlise voices with gratitude bowing his head.

"Don't mention it. She has no memories of that night. Forget that she died, it never happened. You will gain memories from your childhood being with your Mother all the positive and all the negative events. Consider it a gift"-Valoran explains with a smile glad he saved his mother and gained a powerful friend and servant.

"Of course"-Demonlise replies without protest.

Valoran makes his way toward his seat inside the arena and Demonlise and Artemsia return to the position where they have left from.

Valoran breaks the time-stop and the principles of time are back to normal.

" It seems Artemsia was too powerful for Demonlise"-Valoran sarcastically utters.

"WHAT A GREAT DUEL AFTER A HARD-FOUGHT BATTLE THE WINNER IS ARTEMSIA"-The commentator says with excitement.

"Artemsia won!"-Atticus yells in joy.

"Like we would ever doubt her"- Biatrix shares.

With that, the duel between Artemsia and Demonlise is over and both of them are shaking hands out of respect.

With that, the score is 26:3 for Halivaara magic academy.

Demonlise makes his way back toward his seats...

" You did great, my son!"-Victoria (Demonlise's mother) proudly screams.

Demonlise is holding back his tears and waves at his mother with a smile simultaneously making his way back to his seat.

Valoran also smiles just a little to see Demonlise happiness, due to his mother being alive.

The Arena is now empty and the narrator has something to say.

"VALORAN SILVER PLEASE ENTER THE RING"

Valoran is caught a little off guard.

"𝑯𝒎𝒎, 𝒘𝒃𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕?"-Valoran asks himself curiously.

" Will you be alright?"-Selina asks out of worry.

"Of course, who do you think I am?"-Valoran jokingly asks.

Valoran proceeds to the arena... he reaches the arena.

The narrator is arriving at the arena with a woman by his side.

Valoran stares at them.

The narrator and woman face Valoran and ask him a single question.

"Valoran Silver. Is it true that you were involved in saving the missing children not too long ago?"-The narrator quizzes Valoran.

Valoran is surprised that they know about that event.

"I was involved in saving the children but I wouldn't brag about it"-Valoran explains.

The audience and all the capital who are watching using the magic broadcast on their crystals and in the capital centre are all shocked to hear that Valoran saved the missing children.

" Wait, he was the one who saved the missing kids?"

"He saved my nephew?"

"He saved my son?"

Valoran is relieved that they don't know that Artemsia a goddess was also involved which would only attract unnecessary attention.

"Please let me introduce you to Octavia (an elvish woman with silver hair) . She's a journalist and would like to interview you"-The commentator kindly explains.

"Please I would love for an interview with you which will be broadcasted across the capital via the magic broadcast"-Octavia kindly asks.

Valoran thinks for a moment and gives his answer.

" Sure why not."-Valoran answers.

Octavia is bowing her head in gratitude and leaves the arena.

Another female, a human wearing a suit and her aura is not just powerful but also screams discipline.

"My name is Ursula Elemente" -The woman introduces herself.

The audience is in disbelief that someone like her is arriving to meet Valoran.

"Lady Ursula here?"

"What's someone like that doing here?"

Lady Ursula turns out to be a Magic Noble, A Magic Noble is an individual with immense magic power and knowledge yet not on the same level as the previous Magic King.

To become a Magic Noble you must demonstrate great magical knowledge and power to the point where you could be seen as a Magic King in front of the people, however, the throne within the castle has not seen them fit to rule due to their lack of power and knowledge in comparison with the previous Magic King.

"𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒚 𝒂𝒔𝒌 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒎𝒆?"- Valorans thinks to himself.

Lady Ursula stands in front of Valoran.

"Valoran Silver, you have demonstrated powers and knowledge far beyond that of any students and professors. Where have you learned all of your abilities?"-Lady Ursula demands to know

"I have been training and studying magic, reading 952,976 books on Magic, each book I read contained flaws which I had to correct and created my own magic that only I and no one else is capable of using."-Valoran answers.

"If you are that far ahead of everyone, why did you enrol at the academy?" -Lady Ursula insists on knowing.

"Isn't it obvious? I plan on becoming the next Magic King"-Valoran mockingly replies.

"Hmm, I see."-Lady Ursula replies, turning around and leaving the arena.

Valoran is also leaving the arena stage and returns to his seat.

Valoran arrives at his seat and Merial has something to say.

" Is it true that you have been involved in saving the missing children?"-She eagerly asks.

"Yeah, I was"-Valoran replies being straight to the point.

Merial starts to tear up while also covering her mouth, she gets up from her seat and hugs Valoran who is still standing.

Valoran did not expect that and his face is in shock, he proceeds as to why she hugs him.

" Merial, could it be possible that one of those children was special to you?"-Valoran kindly requests to know.

Merial, who hasn't loosened her grip around Valoran gives him the answer.

"My younger sister was kidnapped, the only thing left behind was a ransom letter and if we were to tell anyone she would be..."-Merial explains, tearing even more unable to finish her sentence.

"Merial I am glad I was able to reunite you with your sister, you must not show me gratitude" -Valoran utters at Merial with a smile.

Merial wipes her tears from her face and a bright smile begins to take over her face.

"I'm sorry for the unexpected hug"-Merial kindly apologises bowing her head.

" Don't mention it. I like to think of you as a friend so you should not have to apologise for something that friends would normally do to show immense gratitude"-Valoran says, reaching out his hand to instigate a handshake.

Merial looks at Valoran and shakes his hand to accept his friendship.

After that, the remaining Magic Duels took place and the overall score at the end was 48:23 for Halivaara Magic Academy.

The Magic Duels are now officially over...
