Undine's Surprise

Aaron saw Undine's clear and limpid eyes silently scanning around the hall, her gaze momentarily stopped on Aaron but she immediately focused her attention on the slowly dying youth below her.

She was grateful and guilty for using his blood for her purposes and felt the responsibility to pull him out of his death's door, she owed him a favor for helping her break out after all.

She lightly sighed as she looked at the pathetic situation that the youth was in, she raised her fair right hand and lightly waved.

A dazzling scene unfolded thereafter.

Blue wisps of smoke slowly appeared out of nowhere, they tightly wrapped themselves on Mirage's body.

Mirage gradually floated in the air while he was enclosed within the blue smoke, the smoke leaked out water droplets that slowly seeped inside Mirage's pores.

The majority of these water droplets were gathering around the wound on his neck, they mended themselves on his skin and healed the slit.

One would be able to see the wound rapidly healing, the large wound slowly closed and in the blink of an eye, the fatal wound was healed completely.

The scene that transpired was truly a miraculous scene to behold as Aaron had his mouth wide agape all this time.

He could also see the feeble heaving of Mirage had returned to its normal breathing state.

Undine saw this and her eyes flickered with satisfaction.

She next held her hands together and chanted cryptic words, the sound she made while chanting was extremely pleasing and melodious to the ears.

She continued chanting for 30 seconds before completely stopping and reached both of her hands towards Mirage's azure blue hair.

She just lightly touched his head and immediately retracted them a second later, she slowly retreated by a meter and waited for the thing she waited for to happen.

Mirage's body was suddenly bathed in a pale blue light the light glow felt extremely gentle and even had a slight calming effect.

Undine was examining this silently, her ocean blue eyes shone brightly with interest as she closely examined the changes that are occurring on his body.

She thought excitedly to herself.

'I could finally see the mysteries of this youth!'

Mirage was unconscious and could not see the shocking notifications that had appeared on his game screen.

There may be some changes now that it was affected by the blessing that he had received from Undine.

He could not help but feel worried about his bleak future, his back was drenched with his cold sweat as he was trying to calm himself down.

What if Undine killed him to pay back her life debt towards Mirage? He thought that it was highly possible for this to happen so he gritted his teeth and sneakily reached his hand inside his back pocket and crushed a small matte black crystal ball.

'I don't have a choice! You forced me to do this so you can only blame yourself for appearing!'

He did not plan to call for reinforcements but with the threat that Undine possessed, he was ultimately forced to use the crystal ball that he had on him.

That ball was given to him by someone who he deeply admired so he treated that thing preciously.

That person had given it to him to express gratitude towards his talent and said that he could call for him anytime but he would only help him one time and it would be over.

That's why he felt extremely reluctant on using this device as he could receive one-time help from his idol.

He felt resigned and sighed bitterly to himself while silently inputting his message.

He was finished not long later and the signal for reinforcements had been finally sent out successfully.

He excitedly smiled to himself after he felt that the message was indeed sent to his idol, he felt anticipation and restless as he was about to see the reinforcements that his idol would send to him.

He silently calculated and felt that the reinforcements should arrive 30 minutes by now, but right now his life is threatened and he didn't even have the confidence to stall time for that long.

He needed to find a way to last for at least half an hour but did not know where to start, he anxiously looked around while silently thinking of the possible solutions for his current predicament.

Meanwhile, the unconscious Qianna suddenly twitched, she slowly regained her consciousness.

She slowly opened her sapphire blue eyes and they look confused at first before they suddenly widened, it was as if she had remembered something shocking.

She then carefully thought of what had happened to her earlier, she could vividly remember the terror and helplessness that she felt when the scary azure-haired caught her hostage.

She had also remembered of the strange thing that happened to her, the anxiousness and panic that her curse exhibited, and many more, she could remember all of these details.

Then she realized that she was lying on the ground while looking at the blank white ceiling above, she jumped in shock and uttered a shriek.

"Ah!"

Her shriek made her to get successfully notice by two different gazes, she felt a hostile gaze while the other gave her a gentle and calm feeling.

She understood the hostile gaze but why was there suddenly a gentle gaze directed at her? Where was the psychopathic gaze?

She shivered and thought to herself suspiciously.

Her body stiffened, she slowly turned to look towards the source of the gentle gaze, she breathed a sigh of relief at first then felt shocked.

She was relieved that it wasn't from the scary youth and was shocked because of the sudden appearance of a blue beauty silently floating near the unconscious azure-haired youth.

Her unparalleled beauty could induce a flood of inferiority complex among the women, Qianna also felt that her beauty was extremely dim compared to her radiant beauty.

The woman had a long blue wavy hair like that of a blue cascading waterfalls, her hair was extremely beautiful and vibrant.

Her ocean blue eyes displayed a gentle and serene gaze, her eyes felt extremely peaceful and had a calming effect that made her tensed state to relax.

She possessed a regal and dignified aura that made her look more stunning and authoritative at the same time, as if her orders were absolute and unquestionable.

Qianna immediately knew who the woman was, it was Undine.

She wasn't that dense for her to not know of the peerless appearance of Undine.

There was her magnificent statue at the temple entrance and even the inside of the temple had various paintings that depicted her achievements.

She could not possibly forget that peerless beauty even if she wanted to.

Deep inside Qianna, she slowly felt respect and reverence towards Undine, as a Hydromancer herself, she could strongly feel the great amount of mana energy surging towards her, that symbolized her high status as a mana user.

She could only say that her strength was extremely vast and utterly overwhelming.

While Qianna was secretly examining Undine, she too also examined Qianna with surprise.

Mirage's changes had already ended long ago and she could not detect his changes any longer, not like she had figured something out or anything.

Everytime she used a scanning at Mirage, she was strangely blocked by an unknown force, she was repelled by this force time and time again, this made her feel helpless so she did not force herself anymore and just stayed idle.

She felt extremely bored and was about to deal with the assassin when she heard the small commotion that Qianna had caused.

She just took a single glance and instantly felt surprised.
