Chapter Sixty-one

As soon as he put on the water, he could feel Bella nearly jump and her sharp piercing fingers grasped him suddenly. He felt them sink in his neck area, someone sure did need a nail cut. She was shivering so much and beginning to cry, what was troubling her so much as to make her cry was all he kept wondering. Was it something with Madeline, but the woman was recommended to him as the best although he had never seen her before and was yet to see her but then,, he had a file on her and her pictures looked as harmless as possible. Bella still had not opened her eyes but still she shook with sobs and fever. He carefully found a way to keep her hands off his neck and made her take a bath. He was going to definitely lash out at the maids, how could they be here and she fell so sick. That was definitely negligence and he was not going to pardon any of them. A house, full of maids yet not one, not one single soul had any idea whatsoever of what Bella was going through. Jay managed to force her to take a bath, and by the time she was done with the bath, her eyes were fully open and she was awake, only that she ran fever. S

"What happened Bella? ", Jay was asking her as he dropped her on the bed, what is that much of a big deal to cry yourself sick over ", he continued but she said nothing. Instead she kept chattering teeth and hands playing with the edge of the bed sheet she pulled out. When it was evident she was going to say nothing, he stood up so suddenly that she jerked, "I'm getting you a doctor. So if you desire so much, stay here while I'm gone and do cry yourself to stupor ", he said before slamming the door behind him. She had successfully provoked him to anger and she knew it. She needed consoling here, she thought as a tear slide down her cheeks. She quickly wiped it off, ain't no more crying like a baby but it was her mother. She began wondering where or not he was going to let her go see her mom but then, she decided to let the thought fly. 

The entire house was in jeopardy as the staff wondered what their fate would be, Jay had sworn at them and left them all with their hearts in their mouth. He had gone to bring over the doctor himself. "I told you she was a weak one ", Theresa had mouthed and Chelsea eyed her dangerously. "She might have been going through something, you know ", Katherine whispered and Theresa said keeping eye on Chelsea who looked like she could pounce on her anytime, " She's a weak lass, I tell you and trust me, we're going to go down because of her ". This obviously did not see right with Jake and he cleared his throat to get their attention, "If there's anything I have noted about Bella, weakness is not part of it Theresa, I wonder where you picked that from you bitter woman ",he said infuriating and there began a tussle between the two of them. Their tussle soon enough was taking greater heights and others had to stop them, now was no time to slaughter each other. Now was a time to stay together and reason what their sentences would be when the boss returned. 

Jay Martins had never been a fan of weak women and this consistent crying spree of Bella was gradually getting on his nerves, he was getting tired of it all. He was no baby sitter,  and he definitely was not ready to start babysitting one right now. He needed a strong woman by his side, not a crybaby so he found himself drawing unconscious comparisons between Bella and Stella. Was he tired of Bella, he had no idea but he sure knew he was beginning to feel tied around the neck by her consistent show. The doctor he saw standing outside the hospital waiting for him, he picked the man up and was driving back to the house. "Seems like you would be moving in with me very soon doc ", he said trying to loosen the atmosphere, and although it was funny to the good natured doctor, it churned Jay's stomach. "We would not go hungry Sonny ", the doctor replied casually. He continued driving in silence as his subconscious self was judging him about what he had thought about Bella. But still he was certain of one thing, Bella was a weak woman. 

"It is just a fever and I've put her on some tranquilizers. She should be coming around by 9pm or there about ", the doctor said when he stepped out of her room. Jay had stayed away as he did not want to seem to be crowding. "Thank you so much doc. Any idea on what triggered her fever? ", he asked the doctor who shook his head, "I think she's been bothered by something. The girl is troubled and whatever caused her to cry definitely triggered her fever ", he said. Jay could understand partly that she might have been troubled but what he did not understand was why she would be crying so much. He was always there for her and even ready to pull a star form the clouds for her. He felt bad that she did not trust him enough to be her confidant. He saw the doctor off the the car, Jake was going to drop him. He would have turned back but then the doctor held him and whispered, "I'm not certain what I felt when I checked her pulse but I think you need to take Bella to the hospital sometime later for tests ", he said looking serious, "What is it doctor? ", Jay asked him. "I felt a faint pulse underneath her own ", he said, Jay asked ," Which means...? ", he was searching for the answer on the doctors face.  "Bella just might be pregnant and the stress she put her self to, knocked her system down ", the doctor said.
