Chapter One Hundred and thirty-one

Jay had left for his office feeling rather better about himself and the fact that he was going to be a dad soon enough. He had never thought about Stella's supposed seed as his own and if there was a way for him to rip out the seed from her, then he might have done so. However, he wondered where Bella was in this vast world and sincerely hoped that she was safe and comfortable. He assured himself that he was going to make sure to go to the extent of upturning the entire earth if that was going to be what it would take for him to find her. He could not loose her and even now, the very thought of being away from him made him really sad. She was his woman and the only woman in his heart. He needed to also try secretly finding his phone and hoped that somehow, it had not fallen in the wrong hands. He knew however that his secret was safe with Charlie. 

But then, he began thinking about the words of the man. He had asked that he trusted no one and had specifically mentioned Alfredo's name. He began wondering as he drove if the guy was also against him or something. Alfredo had been another person he could trust all this while in his household. He had been more than a friend and had every thing about Jay in the palm of his hands. Even if he had wanted to destroy him, he might have done so a long time ago with all the information about him and all the secrets he knew. It was not possible that Alfredo would betray him so easily and he dismissed Charlie's fears. He might just been making a generalization. 

He got to the office and the very first person he saw in the garage was Alfredo. If he was superstitious, he might have taken this to be a sign of what Charlie had been telling him. He came out of his car, grabbing the papers and making sure they were in sight of everyone. Alfredo had been worried about him as he returned and had not seen him in the office. Jay wondered why he would be like that and the guy explained that it was his duty to worry about him, especially now he was down in health. Jay tapped him on the shoulders and handed him the files. He asked that he began processing it immediately. They could take no chances in line of their business. Alfredo joined him upstairs and went immediately to begin processing the document. 

Jay had gone home straight from work, and had avoided Stella and her whimps. He passed her, shoving her aside when she tried to hug him. It was already an expected attitude from him, so she did not seem surprised. Nevertheless, he had gone straight inside the room, the room he had given to Bella. He layed on the bed, feeling rather lonely. He missed her so much. 

"Where are you Bella ",he wondered and asked the empty space. 

If he was a lady, he might have cried his eyes out but then, as a man he held it in. No way was he going to make himself feel anything close to happiness until he found her. The most painful part of it was that his phone was missing. That phone might have been his only link to finding Bella. He could not have her suffer alone with his baby. He should be there, by her side, making sure she was more than comfortable all through. He was going to make sure that he found her. 

Soon, he would begin his weeding process and get rid of all the predators around him. Their viles would never bring him down.
