Chapter One hundred and Forty-nine

Jay could not believe the level of deceit which the woman could go to. She had actually been a liar all along, making make belief of her condition. He had been worrying about her supposed condition. Was there no limit to her devilish character. Then he wondered how they had been able to locate him up to this place. He demanded from Stella how she had managed to pull that off and she began chuckling. He probably must have thought her really stupid. She looked at him for a bit and asked that Pablo explained to him. Jay could really perceive real trouble brewing and demanded that they spilled. 

"I do not think you are in any position to make arguments Jay boo", Stella cautioned him and just then, a car pulled up just behind hers. 

He stared ahead as he saw his archenemy, Diego making his way to him with that deceitful smile that always gave Martins the creeps. What was he doing here, except... It suddenly dawned on him as the guy came to stand in front of the duo. He had been working with them all along. 

"I guess you should have had it all figured out right now Jay, except you would be figuring out something really wrong. I am not working with them or anything like that ", he said.

"Then what are you doing here? ", Jay demanded. 

"Actually, this two idiots work for me, except, they don't know it ", he said really shocking them all. 

"Did you have any idea about this ", Stella asked Pablo who was obviously shocked as he stared mouth agape. She had not expected that Diego be part of them, or not as his next action shook Pablo. 

"Here, let me take care of her for you ", Diego said and before anyone could say anything, he shot Stella right on the head, Pablo sank down to his knees as he whimpered in fear. 

Stella was dead that instant and there was nothing he could do at the moment as he and his men were surrounded by the new guys that arrived with Diego. They all had their guns out. Jay was really confused and demanded to know how they deduced that he had gotten his memory back. Diego laughed and clicked his hand as one of his men bearing a boxed up carton stained with blood stepped forward. 

"Permit me to introduce you to an old friend ", Diego said as he took the box and poured out the content. Then, he rolled it over to Jay with his feet. 

Jay could not believe his eyes. It was none other than the good natured old man Jake, whom had done no harm. How could anyone think of hurting the man. He looked up at Diego with such anger and pain in his heart. He tried taking up his gun which he had dropped when Diego fired at his hands, barely missing him. 

Charlie was really tensed as he knew that right now, they were in an awkward situation. 

"Why are you doing this? ", Jay asked him as he looked up at him. 

Diego chuckled and explained that he was only after power and he was going to get to the top by dealing with Jay. As he would gain more respect by that single act. Jay muttered something about respect not being bought by such means, fear was not loyalty he stated. 

"We'll see about that ", Diego said and shot at Jay. A red stain appeared on his chest, just slightly above his right breast. Jay fell back as his hands went up to the spot, Charlie was beside him the next instant. 

Jay's men were surrounded and were confused at what to do, when another car pulled up and more of Jay's men arrived. They ran over to Jay's side and their leader surprised everyone. It was Alfredo, instead of joining the others, he went to stand by Diego.

"Surprised? Meet mi amor ", Diego said as he turned to kiss Alfredo.
