Chapter One Hundred and eight

The fact that he did not feel any bit of affection for the fussing woman still baffled him as he tried wondering who she was. She claimed to be his wife but then the funny thing here was that he did not feel any atom of commitment towards her and even if he was married, definitely not to someone so fake looking. He was confused. Probably he had married her for power but it all did not feel right, not in one bit. The doctor had said that he was suffering from temporary amnesia and that he would probably regain his memory in weeks or months, as the case maybe. This was not happening, he needed to remember. Somehow he felt that something was wrong somewhere and that he needed to find something or someone but the fussing woman and was there trying her bestest to confuse him. She had brought him a pregnancy test result and told him that they were expecting a baby together. He had to reluctantly agree then that she was part of his life. If he was having a baby with her, then perhaps, he must have loved her that much. He asked everyone to leave the room as he needed some time alone to think. She played the house wife, reluctantly leaving his side. Jay Martins felt something was off and again, as he tried to remember, he felt that headache and tingling in his ears. He felt really sad, like a vegetable he layed down there,  fuming with anger, he had to remember.

As soon as they got outside the room, Stella headed straight to the kitchen and asked Katherine to assemble members  of the staff for a quick meeting. Anyone who was absent would loose their jobs. Of course, not anyone of them would want to loose their job, so in less than five minutes, they were standing before her, while she assessed them with her cruel eyes. Everyone felt uneasy, Stella was a deadly woman. She moved back and forth for sometime, then she stood in the middle, just in front of them. The knots in their stomach tightened. What was she about to do right now, they wondered. She cleared her throat and began by informing them that their master was awake. Oh my gosh, that was a good news, at least now he would come kick her out themselves. But then, they began wondering why he had not done so just yet. Was it that hard to get rid of a witch or did he need an exorcist.

As though reading through their minds, Stella continued, "Actually, there's a tipsy bit of problem. He's lost his memory ", she said and could see their excited shoulders earlier drop. That served them right, she was not done with them yet. They should just wait for her to regroup her plans, she would get rid of them one at a time as she had already begun her schemes. She ordered them to get rid of any traces of Bella and that no one, not even a single soul should dare mentioning her name in the building anymore. Not in their life or she'll put an end to the misery. She watched them for a while and demanded if there was anyone who had not understood her message, after sometime and she got no answer or opposition, she dismissed them. At least, not without ordering them to go about the assignment she had just dished out, she was not taking any chances. Not this time, and definitely not with all she had to sacrifice to pull this feet off.

She had felt the burning hatred in his eyes for her when she had introduced herself as his wife and she could tell that he had his doubts about her, that was not a problem at all as she was going to work her way into his life again. She went to the room where Bella had been using to make sure that they were following up with what she had said, getting there, she saw they were doing justice to it already, that excited her. She was in the room, when someone was ushered in, it was that beautiful man she had admired when she was married to Jay those times. She had always wanted to go down with him, but he never seemed to notice her. She flipped her hair, adjusted her blouse and started walking down the stairs to him, hopefully that he would notice her this time.

"Hello Diego ", she greeted him seductively.
