Chapter Ninety-seven

Bella could not tell what exactly to direct her grief to, was it the loss of her mother or the cheating boyfriend whom had showed up after a possible hit off with his ex-wife. She could not stand it all, or the fact that he touched her, what effrontery he possessed, showing up at the time she had least expected him to come. Her mother was gone and she could not believe it, even with the presence of her fathers and brothers, she was having this feeling that she was going to become a lonely orphan. She just could not accept the fact that she was not granted a chance by fate to say all she wanted to her mother, she had a lot she wanted say, but the opportunity had been wrenched from her grip. She wanted to tell her mom how much she she loved her while gazing into her hopeful life, she wanted to tell her every single detail she had omitted when she told her about Jay, how he had abandoned her finally. She was at the crossroads of confusion, what she wanted was her mother's opinion on the baby coupled with Jay's treachery, but she was not going to tell her again. She wanted to ask her mother to forgive all her rude behavior and attitude earlier; she would give the world for a second chance with her mother, but alas, it was too late. Mother was gone, the impact of that reality hit her so deep like a double-edged sword, piercing everything in its way. She thought about Jay, he was not there when she needed him the most, why was he here now, to coat her with more lies?,  he had the effrontery to show up here, after frolicking with his ex-wife. She could never measure up and she guessed that was the reason, he wanted a woman of his own class and playing games with the milkmaid, which was her. How gullible he must think she was, all he had wanted was a tumble while he worked out a strategy to bring back that woman. She was the milkmaid that would never measure up to her mistress, all she had was her wishful thinking.  What was she going to do now that her life was practically over, her dreams probably would be shattered, thanks to his seed growing in her. She had to get rid of it, she could not have his baby growing inside her, knowing fully well that he was not going to accept it. But then, what had he been doing here, should he not be with his queen. She pushed the thought away, he probably wanted a proper closure, and that she was going to give him and then figure out for herself, what she wanted to do with her baby, or rather, his baby.

Looking at the mirror and resting her hands on the sink, she saw her reflection. She looked disorganized and stressed out, just as her soul was at the moment. She had a her fathers and brothers with her, yet she felt lonely and empty, like a true orphan should be, she could feel her loneliness begin to creep in. That's when she remembered that she had left the memory box as she called it and its key on the table in the ward. She felt like it was not the best of times yet for Anthony and Mikey to know the truth, it should be found out at the proper time. She rinsed her face and stared again at her reflection, eyes red and swollen, she cared less. Whom was she looking good for, was it the liar, whom she had loved?.  She thought not. Stepping out, she was about to open the door, when someone opened it at the same time, the impact caused her to stumble and fall, who was that bitch, she wondered. It was the ladies after all, who else but a lady would enter, "Are you okay Bella? ", he said rushing over to her looking sincerely worried. She might have melted if it was another time, but now all she had to offer was her disgust and anger, pushing away his hand which he was offering to help her up, she rose angrily by herself. "What's the matter Bells ", he asked ever so innocently, how could he.  He began muttering something of not knowing what he did to piss her off so much, what a liar. "I saw you ok?... I saw you with her ", she yelled and he asked," What are you talking about Bella ", he said looking so seriously confused. "At the traffic Jay, I saw you and Stella!!!.  And guess what, I don't ever want to set my eyes on you again ".
