Chapter Fifty-three

That day Bella spent most of her time on bed with Jay. She watched him sleep for a while and after a while, she decided to make something out of her day. She tidied up and went down for breakfast. She was going to drop off stuff in the kitchen when she caught the maids whispering and giving her this weird glances, "What? ", she asked shrugging her shoulders friendly and they giggled. She dropped off the dishes, "You know, someone got to tell me what the problem is you know ", she said turning to face them and leaning on a counter, the same counter they had made love on last night. The memory of that was still very much fresh in her mind that she could still feel his breath there. And there, right there where Katherine and Chelsea were standing, he had taken her over and over again, she gulped, was nature trying to tell her something. "He loves you, you know that right? ", Katherine said bringing her back to reality, "Him? Jay? Of course not ",she said with a nervous laughter and she started scratching her neck, "Wait a minute, you love him too, don't you Bella? ", Chelsea said wide-eyed, coming to stand by Bella. "Whoever told you that Chels ", she said and Chelsea took her hands from her neck, "You're doing that thing with your neck ", Chelsea said. "What thing she asked and Katherine replied, "The thing you do whenever you're nervous or caught ", and they all started giggling. "You know Chelsea, I think the boss loves her even more than Miss Stella ", Katherine said and Chelsea tried to cut her off, but it was too late for Bella had heard and it pricked her ever ready curiosity, "Who's Stella? ", she asked although she already had likely answers. Katherine brought her voice down, "His ex-wife, no one dares to mention her name or else he would.. ", she used her hands to complete the sentence with a sign of death. Bella was curious, "What happened between them? ", she said but also found that she too had brought her voice down, "Well", Chelsea took over, "Miss Stella and Mr Martin were married and trust me it was a very very unhappy marriage ", she began and Katherine, "Except for the sex", and Chelsea eyed her knowingly. "Oh yeah, their sex was great, you could practically hear her screaming every time they had sex ", Chelsea said and Bella began to wonder just how much she screamed last night and if they heard her too. "But then, Miss Stella did something really really bad and Mr Martin had to show her the way out ", she continued and Bella asked curiously, "What did she do? ", and Chelsea shrugged her shoulders showing that she had no idea but Katherine seemed to, "Some say that she slept with his business associate or something but I overheard him talking to Alfredo over the phone, he was really angry. He had no idea I was cleaning his bathroom, he was like, 'The bitch tried to kill me ', I think she betrayed him really bad ", she said and Chelsea continued, "Ever since then, he had everything about her taken away and destroyed and no one dared mention her name ". Bella was thinking, "What kind of person is Jay ", Bella asked, "Oh you don't have to worry, Mr Martin is rough on the outside but trust me, he's totally a softie. He used to be very fun until Miss Stella but Bella, you beginning to bring back that part of him,", Chelsea said, "How? ", Bella asked. "Not everyone could make him forgive people like you made him do with old man Jake, not even Miss Stella and I bet you that no one even brought a doctor close to this apartment when he's sick, he loves you Bella ", Chelsea said. Bella began to wonder in her head, the girls told her a lot, so much that she wondered if she was that important.
