Chapter 50: Our Legacy
Victoria’s P.O.V
Victoria walks into her bright office in Lady Fortuna Law Firm and turns on the tv. The sound of yelling and camera shutters fills the room instantly as news reporters buzz around the front steps of the New York Supreme Court. A man with handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit at least two sizes too big is being led to a parked police car.
“Well they work fast,” Victoria snorts as she leans against her dark brown office desk. She sees Prosecutor Mike Galler striding down the steps with an impassive face. After the fight with Marcello, Victoria gave Mike a call and asked if he wanted a case. Mike was more than keen to take on the Bianchi case, especially after learning that the mafia was involved; it was like a gold mine for him.
