James was patched up and given a spear. "Why do I need this?" "They'll return. This was there homes, they were their mates." She pointed to a pile of corpses. "We killed there offsprings as well. When they have finished hunting they'll return home. That being said they won't be happy. So we're rescuing as many as we can. We don't know how many hunting party there are." "Why don't we leave?" "You know whats out there?" He shook his head. "Neither do we. At least from here will see whatever threatens us."

"I guess none of you know where we are?" "You guess right. We're all just as clue less." James was stumped, what to do? "Don't over think it just focus on surviving the night." They were lighting fires. "Isn't that dangerous?" "We can't see in the dark. Though maybe they can. There lizards remember." "So who running everything?" " No one is." "Who's idea was this?" "You ask alot of questions. Just chill out till the fighting starts."

She walked away from him. Unlucky for her, he was so annoying. She walked up on the look outs. "What you see?" "No more have been seen. Though they're still searching." "It could be that is just dark." "True but people stop showing up around mid day. He was the last one we've seen." They were silent. "What pissed you off?" "He had questions." "You didn't have the answers?" "What are we going to eat?" "Why not them? Bet they taste like alligators." They laughed but soon he eyed that pile with hope. "What if there poisonous." "I was joking." She took watch. He sat, pondered. Tried to rest. But sleep would not come. The night was silent except for the flames licking the wood. He looked around most had slept with there weapons. But this was a lie. They were up waiting. 43 people and non of them snored it was unlikely. The only way they would truly sleep if though animals were dead. He looked around what could they do? Then he walked to their pile. Looked it over, turned away. He lefted it one body less.

Fear thats all his creations could cause. That was all they caused. There stupidity was baffling. How could he give them everything and yet in one day 5 tribes had fallen. Weren't they hungry. Humans had collected together from all over the island. Maybe this wasn't bad. Maybe they weren't hunters. But at least the groups showed progress. Sharing knowledge, eating what they could. These were traits of survivors. These test subjects had won. His creations were scared. They would dare entered there territories. Uhhhhhh they had territories on there first day. Just 300 had escaped most okay and killed the inhabitants. What could be done? Maybe he should increase there size? Ahh it was just day one. Tomorrow he'd release primates. A difficult food source only found in enemy territory. They'll have to fight and explore. If they do he'll start his plans earlier then expected. What would tomorrow bring? He was excited.

He skinned it. It looked so human from the inside. Muscle, bones and organs. He looked it up and down. We can't eat this. But we could at least make clothes. He returned to the piles. The females looked alot more monstrous than the males. They were taller and bulky. He pick one at random. Since sleep wouldn't come why shouldn't he do something useful. Hopefully they come back while he still had strenght. But if not at least he had already got revenge for chaseing him threw the woods. The night pass un eventful. It was early that morning when the screams started. Instead of the fighting happening at the front of the village. The monsters returned from the cliff side. They had climbed in the shadow of the mountain in the early morning. He hadn't fallen asleep at his post. So he was quick to react. He ran into the fray, spear up. Screaming at the top of his lungs. His target avoided his spear and to fell in a melee. He on top pressing his spear closer to its throat. It snarled and kick. It sharp clawed feet. Left cuts on the ground the spear then his leg. He was unable to support his weight and fell to one knee. The thing scrambled away. Looking around they were in bad shape. The things were much more aggressive. They had abandon there weapons in favor of there natural claws. Attacking with fast swipes and tackles. Some people had been over powered and were getting mauled to death. He had taken seconds to realised this. He ignored his pain and stood. First it was a lipping motion. Later it turned into a sprint. He and the spear struck true. Right into the mid section of one of them. Leaving that one to his fate. He let go of the apear and began whaling on one of them. It was dazed but recovered. As his fist came down for another volley of attacks. It mouth opened wide welcoming the fist. It took that fist from him. The scream left hia throat. By time he could fathom what had transpired. Its claws swung savagely at his chest and thraot. It lunged at him its teeth greedly aimed for his shoulder. It claws missed he had back away in time. But he was tackled. Luck his good had grabed it throat. It was all that stood between thoughs teeth and his life. It mauled him to death and when his arm failed it bit away at his face and chest. The last thing he saw was them rip the legs off a woman and drink from them.
