Contrary to what she saw before she lost her consciousness, Ava woke up inside a dark space. The sound of what seemed like a stream was the only thing that she could hear.
She tried to adjust to the darkness, to examine the place where she was at. But it was useless.
The darkness seemed to swallow everything around her.
The creases in between Ava's brows deepened.
She should have been scared but for some reason, the darkness seemed to calm her down. She felt at ease.
She bit her lower lip then she closed her eyes. This time, she used Magick to try and sense her location. Again, it was futile.
She couldn't feel anything.
It was as if she was in a separate space.
How strange.
After a few seconds of deliberation, Ava started walking.
....
"She's not awake yet," Matthew was pacing next to Ava's bed. "How is this possible? You said, she's fine!" He looked at Baba, his eyes blood red.
