[Warning R18: Mature themes, and smut.] + + + Thanks for stopping by! Just a heads up, this is my first time exploring the world of werewolves, but they won't be the only mythical beings in this story. The focus here will primarily be on the character growth of Aesther, and her quest for re-claiming and re-discovering herself. Romance is a secondary plot device, and once it does start to unravel, there will be some mature scenes as well. A Wandering Night

She could not remember.

In the lone darkness of night, Aesther leaned against a wall, quietly staring at the faintly throbbing scar on her palm.

One of the walls surrounding the alley collapsed and crumbled. Aesther's eyes dimmed even further.

"...how stupid," She murmured with a small frown, "What the hell am I supposed to do then?"

It was in midst of a heated fight, one against seven. And as if a flame was snuffed out, her mind became entirely blank. In that split moment of nothingness, she did not know what to do.

It was enough for one of the men to sneak behind and land a brutal hit.

A mistake like that would have easily killed her in a real battle.

"How truly bizarre," Aesther slumped against the wall and watched the stars with a troubled gaze, "Why even bring me back if you wanted me to forget it all?"
