CHAPTER 50

  NALANI'S POV

"Is it just me, or did her eyes flutter?" I could hear Emelia's voice close to my ear, and I could feel her hot breath against the skin on my face.

"You've been saying that for the past few hours now, Emelia." Another voice said, It belonged to Terran's Beta, but why were they all surrounding me?

"No, I'm very sure she flickered her eyes just now," Emelia repeated, a sigh coming from Caesar.

"You should probably take a rest, Emelia." He replied.

"Don't tell me to rest when you were incapable of making sure she was safe." Emelia sneered.

"I regret not being the one in her place instead, but you can't say I didn't give it my all."

"You didn't give it your all," Emelia scorned.

"Are you being real?" Caesar was stunned as a scoff escaped his mouth.

"Enough with you two!" The voice belonged to Terran; he was also in the room with them, but his voice sounded distant, unlike that of Emelia and Caesar.
