CHAPTER 40

  LARA'S POV

"A shot of everything you have," the cheery girl next to me stated as she sat down on the bar stool. She swayed her hips to the beat of the loud music.

"Are you serious? "We can't afford to get you drunk," I replied as I took the stool closest to her.

"Who ever said anything about me getting drunk?" Coco raised her brow at me, a wicked grin on her face.

  "Then whose drinks are those?"

  "Yours"

"Hell no!" I exclaimed, shaking my head as I stared at the crazy girl in front of me.

  "Why?" She inquired, feeling offended.

"I am not about to get drunk in a pack that isn't mine. We are not supposed to be here," I said, worries laced in the tone of my voice as I whispered my last few words. I wouldn't want anyone else to hear that we weren't members of this pack, but then again, I was only being paranoid. How could anyone possibly hear my whispers through the loud, blasting pop music?
