CHAPTER TWELVE: The Maid Servant.

"Do not worry yourself Zhi Meng Yao, I will take care of it myself." Chow Yi Nuo pronounced making the maid servant shiver. She had heard how drastically Zhong Kexin had changed and she was afraid of her wrath. Zhong Kexin's eyes appeared like motionless balls. Tears stung her eyes as her body tensed up with fear. She drew audible, shuddery breath. Torrents of sweat rolled down her cheeks and neck.

"Do not worry, I will not hurt you. Just follow my orders and everything will be well, but do not and..." Chow Yi Nuo guessed that the maid servant was wise enough to fill in the rest.

"Go to the kitchen, bring a new porcelain teapot with hot, steaming water, add some hot pepper powder, stir and go wherever you were going." Chow Yi Nuo pronounced and immediately the maid servant stood up, collected the broken pieces of the porcelain teapot,placed them onto the tray and ran towards the kitchen to complete the order.

Chow Yi Nuo smiled amiably exposing her eggshell white. She then walked to her abode, she pushed the mahogany doors open and walked in. Her bed chamber. She stared at the four poster bed that was in the middle of the room, it was surrounded by hanged pink silk ribbons. It's quilt was white with pink and white embroidered flowers.

She untied the strings of her pink sheepskin cloak that was embroidered with white flowers and yanked it off. She then unbuttoned her overcoat and yanked it off too. The heavy clothes were making her tired. She then put on a new and clean overcoat, this was because the other one had gotten wet from the incident earlier.

The maid servant entered the kitchen silently and prepared another set of a porcelain teapot, teacups and a small container containing powered jasmine tea leaves. She then took a bottle of powered pepper, uncapped the cap, sprinkled some in the steaming water in the teapot, stirred, covered the lid of the teapot and capped the pepper bottle. She then carried the tray up and exited the kitchen for Zhong Ah Lam's chamber in her abode.

The maid servant walked up to the door and the door was opened for her by the guards at the door. She got in and bowed slightly before Zhong Ah Lam.

"You took a very long time just to bring tea?" Zhong Ah Lam inquired seeming annoyed.

"Forgive me Miss Zhong Ah Lam for getting late," The maid servant apologized to Zhong Ah Lam and placed the tray on her carved lacquered low table and then left the room.

"Prepare some tea for me," Zhong Ah Lam ordered one of her maid servants who rushed to do it.

She took a teacup from the trap and placed it right side up, scooped up some jasmine tea leaves then added water, she then gave the teacup to Zhong Ah Lam.

Before Zhong Ah Lam could take a sip, one of her maid servants entered the room and informed her that her mother was calling her,she then ordered her maid servants to get out. She prepared herself by combing her hair.
