Vivienne cleared her throat and searched for a suitable reply. "I had no idea why he said that,"

"But I do," Mariah said proudly. "He's still in love with me,"

Vivienne gulped down the whole glass of Chapman. Mariah offered to get her another one and Vivienne let her. She needed time to think and process all that she was hearing and she couldn't do that in Mariah's presence.
