Under The Sea

I don't know how long I was in this darkness. The only thing I heard was the two voices arguing. Then it changed. A sound I have never heard before.

S: Finally decided to wake up?

C: Ugh... My head... Where... Where are we?

S: On the beach next to the ocean. Don't worry. We are safe.

The sound of the waves.

C: How long was I out for?

S: Three weeks. Almost.

C. Three weeks?! It felt like forever.

S: Take it easy. You are still weak.

C: Ok.

I waited until dark and went into the ocean. I knew what I was looking for. Swim west until you see the light in the distance, Sebastian said. I swam for hours until I felt a strange presence. When I looked back, it was huge. At least four times the size of a house.

C: What is that?

There is no chance for me to fight that thing. As I looked closer, I saw a mark on its neck. Then I knew who it was. Leviathan.

There is no shot I can beat him like this. I need a plan and fast. Then I came up with one. One that will not kill him but it would drive him away. Demons can't stand holy things. If I could run around in circles around him, I could make the water holly. I navigated around him, making circles while I kept chanting. After a few minutes of cat and mouse, the time has come.

The water changed into a lighter shade of blue. Levithan couldn't deal with the Moon Lit Waters. After struggling a bit, he finally gave up and went back to where he came from.

I kept swimming in the direction Sebastian pointed me to go. After a short while, I finally saw the light. The sunken city of the sirens. When I arrived I was stopped by two guards.

Guardian: Hold, state your purpose.

C: My name is Cornelia Avexis Moon. I came to offer an alliance against The Forgotten.

Guardian: Very well. I'll show you the way.

They led me across the city and the palace.

Guardian: My queen. A Lunari seeks an audience.

Queen: Verry well. Let her speak.

C: Your majesty. I came seeking aid against The Forgotten One. She...

Queen: I know what she is and what she wants to do. As for this alliance, I want something in return. The Rift Pearl. The demon Leviathan is causing trouble in our waters, but the pearl's magic can drive him away. Only someone with a shadow in their heart can enter the cave that protects the Rift Pearl. You are a descendant of the Queen and High Priestess. Therefore, you can't enter.

C: When you said shadow in their heart, what do you mean by it?

Queen: Darkness, Demonic Blood, Chaos, Death.

C: I have two of those...

I lifted my shirt so she could see my third mark.

Queen: Chaos. The Raging Sea lies dormant in you. Still, you are of demon blood in part. Get that pearl, and you will have your alliance. The guards will show you the way. Good luck.

Bowing my head I left the throne room. Following the guards, they led me to a cave.

Guard: This is it. We call it the Dark Cavern. As you can see, it's pitch black.

C: I can see just fine, but it does look like a maze.

Guard: We will wait for your return. I hope you succeed.

C: So do I.

I wandered into the cave. Inside somehow it was comforting. As I kept swimming I saw a pile of treasure with a warning. Take what you need. Don't let your greed be your downfall. It must be a warning for those who come inside here. As I kept looking I sensed a familiar presence. A shard in this cave. I was lucky. Two birds with one stone. I searched for hours. But nothing. I was about to give up when I touched a small gem. The moment I touched it I felt the chaos awakening in me. A small purple pearl.

C: This must be it.

Such a small object. How can it hold so much power? I grabbed it and went out of the cave straight for the throne room.

Queen: You're back. How did your search fair?

C: I've found it.

Queen: Thank you, and with this, our deal is done. It was a pleasure princess.

I swam back to the surface where Sebastian was waiting for me.

S: Finally. I started to worry.

C: I would have paid to see that, and before you ask, yes. We got the alliance. And I also found another shard.

S: Good. Then we are ready for this war.
