THE MATE'S FIRST FIGHT

Luthan, who was the alpha of the Golden moon pack was having a party to introduce his Luna who was his mate to his pack members. Then all of a sudden a guard ran to him in a hurry and whispered something into his ear. He walked in a poised way with long strides to his Beta, "we are under attack and I need to leave now", Luthan said in his usual cold voice, "why not let me go, you can't leave your mate on such an important occasion", Brian replied worriedly. "I would have sent you but you are to weak and I hope you are not too weak to protect my mate", Luthan said to his brother in a cold voice though it was meant to be a joke, "does it give you joy to hurt me emotionally ", Brian remarked playfully feigning heart pain by tapping his chest.

Not quite long after Luthan left for the surprise attack, Tabitha was looking for her mate in the dark ball room full of werewolves and lycans,, the strong scent of alcohol wafted the air which made her feel a bit irritated. "Where is Luthan now", Tabitha said to her self, holding her head she felt dizzy and in no time she was on the floor. The maid near her screamed which drew a lot of people's attention to the scene. Brian not minding the scream at first but when he saw a lot of people have gathered there, he didn't have a choice but to check, "what's always wrong with the people leaving here, can't they just be like humans for once", Brian whined to himself before going to check what had happened only for him to find his brother's mate blacked out on the floor. "Move!!!", He yelled at everyone, he gently picked her up from the floor and called for the healer immediately.

After Luthan fought in the surprise attack, he came back to the castle victorious. He couldn't go back to the ballroom looking like that because his clothes was stained with werewolves blood, he went to his office to wait for the cloth he sent his guard to get. "Why are this scumbag always this slow", Luthan said pacing back and forth in his office, soon after the guard brought the cloth and he rushed back to the ballroom to meet his mate, but couldn't find anyone in there. He was surprised because lycans are known to love partying till late night. He went outside immediately, he signaled to one of the guards to come, "what happened here right now?", The guard who was shaking in fear at the domineering and cold aura his Alpha was exuding. "Theeeeee Lunaaaaaa", the guard stammered "can't you speak clearly", Luthan said on the mention of the word Luna, "am sorry", the guard said and bowed " my Alpha, immediately you left the Luna fainted , though the healer is attending ....", Luthan didn't allow the guard to complete his statement, he dashed out of his office and went straight to his room not even answering the greetings he received from his people.

On getting to his room, he couldn't believe his eyes, he met his mate in his younger brother's hands, though he knew nothing was going on but his lycan side couldn't accept it and gave out a low but threatening growl which startled the two people. Before the Beta could explain his self, the Alpha flung him out of his way, which gave a clear sign to Brian to start going. Brian walked away while mumbling something under his breath. The whole scene was funny to Tabitha but she held her laughter so as to not further agitate her mate. Tabitha was able to stand up this time and walked slowly but stealthily to her mate and wrapped her tiny hands around her mate's broad back, hugging him from the back. His tensed muscles released on his mate's gentle touch. "You shouldn't have behaved that way", she whispered softly though Luthan could hear clearly. He felt bad knowing he should have behaved that way in front of his mate, he has always learned to tame his beast in the presence of his mate. Though his beast loved her dearly but it didn't seat well with it seeing it's mate in another man's arms. He stormed out of his room to calm his beast from acting anyhow in front of his mate. Tabitha on the other hand felt slightly disheartened, as a tear drop fell from her eyes. She didn't know what she did wrong but she didn't have the strength to walk after him. She waited for him but to no avail before she later slept of.

Luthan walked to the garden, that was the only place in the castle where guards and maids don't move about because that's his personal garden. He sat down on the chair placed in the garden to relieve his self. Soon a maid brought a hot cup of coffee and placed it gently on the table and bowed before leaving. He sipped the coffee in the dark night, the only source of light was the half moon shining dimly accompanied with many stars, though his blue eyes could see clearly like that of day.

A woman who appeared to be in her early twenties walked out from the shadows and made her appearance, though the alpha knew she had been there all along but behaved unbothered. The woman walking seductively to the Alpha moved her painted lips,"I can see you are having your first couple or should I say mate's fight".
