#Chapter174
/"If you found your triggers then you could probably find a way to stop yourself from slipping, but I think Deacon may be the trigger./"
/"I . . . what?/"
/"He was with you both times. You were emotional both times, right? You said that you had a bad dream the first time and you were falling apart back at my place?/"
/"What's that got to do with him?/" I asked. My stomach flipped unpleasantly. I wasn't sure I liked where this conversation was going.
/"He's made you feel what nobody else has. Not me, or Delilah. He makes you feel safe and accepted, and he understands you better than anybody right now. You let him in. You care about him and you let him get close enough to see you at you most vulnerable. You trust him. That could be what induced it for you./"
It had never happened before Deacon, not that I could recall, at least, so maybe there was some truth to his words. /"This is fucking voodoo, I'm telling you,/" I huffed.
