Ariel nervously waited for Harrison to bring Lily to the hospital to see her. She could not believe that everyone was dismissing her fears. She needed to fulfill her promise to Kimberly even if it was just a dream and not true.

When Lily came running in she climbed up onto the bed and hugged her. "I missed you. I got to go on vacation with my grandma and ride in a helpercop."

"A what?" Ariel asked.

"Helpercop. You know it goes whosh whosh and flies."

"Helicopter." Harrison explained.

Ariel laughed then asked, "Oh, was it fun?"

"Yes, but the Army man got hurt. It made the Army lady sad." Lily said.

Ariel looked over, "Who?"

"Commander Jones. He was shot. He is doing better. He is in the room next door." Harrison said.

She got up, "Lily stay here I'll be right back. " Ariel walked out and headed to see JJ.

He was laying down, his shoulder was bandaged up. "How is he?" She asked the girl next to him.

"He will be fine. He's been through worse. You are Ariel, I'm Cynthia Cramer his girlfriend and right hand man. It's nice to finally meet you."

"Cynthia, I know they think this is over but Lily is still in danger. I just know it." Ariel said.

"She is. The woman helping King wanted Lily dead. I think she will still try once she knows Lily is still alive. Her name is Sarah Taylor and she got her info about you from a Carrie Jackson. Our men will be back in a few days. As soon as Jason wakes up he will fill the others in."

"Do you know were Harper is?" Ariel asked.

"Jason sent him out to get some information, he should return in a few days." Cindy said.

Ariel was a little relieved that someone believed her. She had made a promise and would protect Lily with her life.

She headed back to her room and crawled into bed with Lily close by. They talked about her vacation and seeing the dolphins swimming. "Did you send them to say hello?" She asked.

"No, but my dad must of. I told him how important you are to me." Ariel smiled the picked up a brush. "Lily would you like to stay with me for a few days?"

"Yes, Can I?" Lily's face lite up.

"I'm sorry Lily, Ariel needs her rest. You need to get back to school." Harrison said.

"She needs to stay with me right now. You'll understand why soon." Ariel said.

"Ariel, Lily is my daughter and I know what is best for her. She can not keep missing school. I promise she will be alright. If you like I'll send Mr. June with her." Harrison said.

"If you send her, I won't be able to keep my promise." Ariel said with her head hung. How was she going to do this.

"What promise?" He asked.

"The promise to keep her safe. Harrison please let her stay just until Harper comes back. If he says she is safe then I will let go." Ariel now had tears in her eyes.

Marcus was going to kill him for making this girl cry so he gave in. "Ok, Just until Windman comes back. I'll go get a few things Lily will need to stay here." He then walked out.

Lily would be safe for a few days now. She pulled Lily into her lap and finished brushing her hair.

Marcus and Tubby were at the police station giving a detective all the information needed about what Marcus's father did to him. By the time they were done Marcus had a headache. However he wanted to see his father.

When they got to the county jail they sat behind a glass wall and his father was brought in. He looked 10 years older dressed in Orange.

He smirked when he seen it was Marcus, "You really think you got me. You are more of a fool then I thought."

"You are the one in a ugly color not me." Marcus said.

"What do you want?" he asked.

"Nothing, I just wanted to see you suffer. I just finished giving an account of every sick thing you did to me since I was a kid. You will never leave this place a free man." Marcus said.

"You know you liked what I did. You had just as much pleasure as pain. Think what you will but I have the best lawyers money can by. Harrison will see that I get off."

"Funny, Harrison is the one that sent all the information to the DA. He has already removed you from the Board. Soon he will also control all your money and assets. He will make sure Mom is taken care of but as for you, just hope that your new buddy will be a bottom and not a top." He then got up.

"Bastard, what did you do? My son would never turn against me. I don't believe you. You are nothing and will always be nothing. You couldn't even protect your wife from death."

Marcus stop and pulled out his phone. He dialed. When the person said hello he placed it on speaker. "Ariel how are you feeling right now?"

"Good, Lily is back and will be staying with me a few day. When will you be back?" Ariel said.

"Soon my love, soon. I have someone here for you to say hi to." Marcus smiled.

"Oh, who?" She asked.

"Harrison's father."

"Marcus, come back now. Stay away from that monster. Let Harrison deal with this." She pleaded.

"Ok, I'll do as my wife asked. I'm heading back now." He hung up and walked out.

Mr. McKenna then punched the glass, his hand then smeared blood all down it.

Marcus and Tubby then drove back to the hospital in silence. Today had been a good day. A weight was taken off his shoulders.

When he got back Lily ran into his arms and he kissed his little red. Then he leaned over and kissed his life. She was everything to him. The reason his heart beat.
