The Legendary Man

Long ago, there was a legendary man. He fought countless men to the death until he was labelled the strongest in the world. Years later, the man was on his deathbed, surrounded by disciples and he said to them, "One of you, continue my legacy and become the strongest". And so, bad times began. The disciples were loose lipped and spread the word and so, many began pursuing a life similar to the man in hopes of becoming the strongest. About 200 years later, our 'hero' is born. He too wishes to become the strongest just like the others. This story follows his journey to becoming the strongest.

Just to Watch

The next day came and I went out to meet my transporter. Because of the recent uprise most travel services had been shut since they didn't want anyone leaving obviously so the only thing I could do was hire a private. "Hello, I'm your customer" I said greeting him with a handshake. I gave him the due money and he nodded saying,

"Come with me". I was wary of scams so I had a dagger at my waist, masked by a thick coat since it was winter and temperatures had began to drop. We arrived at the carriage after a somewhat long walk and once he began moving I eased up a bit. He spoke very little and with people like that, you can't tell what they're thinking. After 2 hours, we arrived. He dropped me off slightly farther so he wouldn't get in legal trouble but informed me of a hole in the wall which seperated the wall from the forest. I began making my way into Taora. I crept through and finally I was in.

It was beautiful and just as I'd expected. The town wasn't stone shithole like the capital and instead the houses had simple architecture but were laid out beautifully and most of all, it oversaw the sea. When I turned into king, I'd make a house here. Adae said she'd also be coming soon but was busy at the time. I began walking down the hill closer to the path and it was then I saw the people. Unlike the people of the capital they seemed much more unbothered which was understandable, they hadn't experienced the hardship of the city. I made my descent and after a 30 minute walk I arrived at the beach. It was the first time I'd seen an open sea. People splashed around in the water so I tried to do the same before realising how cold it was.

In the end I decided to sit down in the sand and just watch in awe at the glistening blue sea. "Are you from here". I turned back and saw a group of people, around my age but some were short and some were tall. The one who asked me was a girl, didn't look too rich but not too poor, looked ordinary.

"No, I'm here for a 3 day visit" I said turning to them.

"What for?" Asked a boy in the group, quite tall and strong looking.

"Just to watch".
