The Big Surprise

Three hours later i am awakened by my mom yelling for me to come to dinner. as i begin to move i find i am sore all over and i made a promise to myself to take a few days of relaxation from my training regimen. i walked up to the house to find my dinner.

It was only when i walked up to the front door that i realized something was different than usual as i was able to hear more laughter than normal coming from the dining room. Hesitant caus i didnt recognize the voices i was hearing, i sent a thought to my mother and father before i entered. 'Mother, Father, should i go to my room and wash up first? i am quite sweaty.' And the next second my father yelled to me to come inside and come eat. in my head i heard the equivalent of a smile and his response 'I hope you are ready for a surprise my son, cause it is a big one.' hearing that i took a deep breath and walked inside to the dining room and my mouth dropped open in a deadpan complete surprised look.

My reaction was very much warranted as across from my father sat three people i knew instantly i needed to kneel in front of and bow my head so as not to seem arrogant and happen to insult them in any way whatsoever, for the three people were the king, queen, and their daughter. I hurried over as fast as was appropriate and knelt in front of my countries king and queen and in my humblest voice i addressed them. "I welcome King Valtrian Vermillian and Queen Lilios Vermillian of the Country of Antria! I would also like to humbly welcome Princess Asleenia of the Country of Antria! Welcome to my humble abode!" i cursed myself as my voice squeaked with the last part directed at the princess.

The King let out a huge rumbling laugh as he looked towards my father and said "My My August!!! The boy looks like he is gonna faint!!! Though i would like to note that he does know his manners quite well! Im proud to call him my nephew!"

My body froze and my mind went blank, 'N-N-NEPHEWWWWW!!!!!' I turned my head towards my father and then my mother who were both laughing with the king and queen and then i looked down at the ground again as i hadnt had the kings permission to look up yet.

"Say August, isnt he a little too mature for a 1 year old tho?" the Queen asked to which my father replied that i was indeed really mature but the best part is that i was also full of surprises too beyond my maturity.

Queen Lilios raised an eyebrow and replied with "Oh? And what makes him so special besides what we saw so far?" the next second i heard my father's voice in my head relaying what he wanted my to do which caused me to look at him as if i hadnt heard right. he looked at me and nodded towards my aunt. Sighing i looked at her and she caught my gaze and i spoke in her head. 'H-hi Aunt Lilios...' and then seeing her look at me and then look around herself as if she was hearing things i spoke to her again 'In front of you Aunt Lilios, its me your nephew', and she slowly looked to me and her mouth dropped open then she said slowly, "I...see. you are a telepath. that is very impressive indeed"
