Chapter 3

Gong Ja and the others were busily getting ready for the 11th floor as Techno stood in front of a black table with 4 square blue edges and a floating book.

He took his sword out as it floated on top of the book. Inputting some mana into the table he willed for the optimal enchantments he could get. A bright light enveloped his sword as he grabbed the handle.

Its thin blade gained an ethereal purple glow across the weapon.

Techno focused his eyes on it as the enchantments popped up.

[Orphan Obliterator]

[Sharpness V]

[Unbreaking III]

[Mending I]

[Looting III]

[Fire Aspect II]

He was happy with his sword.

For now.

He dismissed his blade as he transferred himself into the 11th floor as he found himself in the middle of a battle field.

The guild leaders stopped momentarily as they heard the roars and cries of death as the monsters began surrounding a certain place.

The guild leaders started wondering why the monsters where all approaching that area. Black Witch floated a bit higher as she saw a pink haired man slicing through the monsters with little difficulty.

With each swing, the monsters would be set on fire and their skin would slice apart.

The Sword Saint observed the pink haired man as his technique was flawless and firm. Each strike connecting to another attack. The ability to dismiss his sword and engage in close quarter combat made him a hunter to be feared.

Gong Ja led the army to attack the boss while Techno whittled the rest of the hoard down. He was effectively a one man army.

Gong Ja finished defeating the Goblin King as the army shouted out.

"We've defeated the demons!"

Techno simply sighed as he looked at the rankings.

He was placed second for coming late.

"Not my fault that I accidentally ate a poisonous potato."

The Black Witch overheard him as she immediately punched him on the head.

"Take care of yourself you dolt."

Everyone looked at the name [Technoblade].

"Isn't that the first ranked hunter?"

Techno was still trying to get out of Black Witch's noogie. His crown fell as Techno put his foot out to catch it in time. The Black Witch relinquished her hold as Techno sat the crown on his head once more.

Viper came over and asked a question that everyone was wondering about.

"How come your crown doesn't fall off when you fight. Yet it falls off quite easily here."

Techno replied in a tired voice.

"It only stays on when I fight but the moment I finish the fight it unroots itself from my head making it a normal crown."

"Not like I care much."

And that was one of the questions about Technoblade answered.

Techno had no interest in the upper floors as he could grow stronger as long as he trained until the Black Witch tugged on his cloak before dragging him back to the group.

Viper chuckled as he teased them.

"Lover's quarrel?"

The Black Witch looked at him with a piercing gaze. "We're not lovers."

Techno already fell asleep as he lacked his daily caffeine.

The priest shouted in happiness "Yay Techno's coming with us!"

Gong Ja decided now was the time while the beast? was still sleeping.

"Why are the other guild masters so afraid of him?"

He pointed to the sleeping Techno.

"His eyes show the horrors and deaths he's seen, all to get stronger, to become first ranked. If you had seen the amount of bodies piled up behind him then you would be afraid as well."

Viper finished explaining.

Gong Ja asked both the priest and Black Witch. "Why aren't you guys afraid of him?"

Black Witch simply gave a smile "He's just a big softie hidden under that facade."

The priest added on "Yeah he's super kind, as long as you don't do something to set him off."

The viper continued the story.

"Last time, there was this hunter that took his horse, Carl, needless to say it didn't end well for him."

The Sword Saint scoffed "Didn't go well? He was found in the form of a charred corpse!"

Gong Ja looked at the sleeping beast who was supposedly a softie underneath.

The Sword Emperor whispered "He's a nut!"

"Transfer!"

Techno and the others teleported into the throne room only for the Sword Saint to attack Gong Ja. The fight prolonged as the priest was about to ask the Countess for gold until he realised that there was someone who had no use for gold.

Gong Ja watched as the priest skipped over and started poking Techno in the face. Techno opened one eye as he grumbled "Hn wat u want nu"

The priest was confused as he asked Black Witch "What did he say?"

The Black Witch responded "He said What do you want now?"

The priest poked him and woke him up again. "Do you think you could spare ten thousand gold please?" Techno slumped his hand out to the priest, "Caffeine" The priest reached into his pocket and pulled out a lollie that was filled with caffeine. Immediately a spatial portal opened as ten thousand gold poured out.

The countess shouted "Ten thousand for a lollie filled with caffeine?" The black witch responded "That won't even make a dent in his funds. Last time I asked him about his vault he had 4 Billion gold."

Gong Ja was shocked "4 billion!"

Techno woke up just in time before dismissing the comment with a "Meh"

The Sword Saint seeing that Gong Ja was no longer a viable target attempted to strike Techno only for his body to stiffen up.

Techno looked at the Sword Saint before smiling "Good Choice! if you took another step. You would be lacking a head." They noticed that the Sword Saint had a slight line of cauterised blood on his neck indicating the speed of Techno's slash.

Techno tried to get up before he fell back down and started sleeping again.
