Chapter 35 - Power surge

After everyone got over their surprise they left to do their own things. They all knew that they will have to get used to more firsts this wing will be having in the future. Having such excellent junior wing wates is really worth bragging to others.

Rhys seeing the schedule went back to his office as he knew that he will have to make changes in their training after the rest day. He will have to change their curriculum as well because most of the students in Maei's wing had already finished their level 1 studies.

Maei made sure that her wing was ready and lead them all into their bunk room to prepare them for tomorrow's training.

Everyone went to their assigned bunk and looked at Maei who was standing at the front of the room.

"Guys I know you are thrilled while at the same time concerned about being admitted in the Alpha Flight, I am as well, but don't worry about levels or standards that are being set on us. We are new and still learning.

We will give our best in everything that is asked from us and yes it's possible that we will also fail but we will learn from it. We will make our own standards. So cheer up! Our training starts at 6:30 am so set your alarms for 5:30!"

"Yes Maei!"

Everyone was glad that Maei gave them the pep talk as it was daunting to live upto the expectations of the Battle Master. But as Maei said as long as they gave their best they will succeed.

They went to work on their pads to set alarms and prepare their uniforms for tomorrow before getting ready for lights out.

What they didn't know was that Lorcan and Rhys had heard their talks.

They had come to give them encouragement but were beaten by Maei. What's more the speech she had given was more persuasive than the generic speech they give to new wingmates.

They looked at each other and left to prepare for tomorrow as well.

Lorcan was proud of his baby girl. She had grown up to be an outstanding woman and was now training to be an even better leader.

Rhys only felt that this was normal from the girl that caught his attention. From the day he had met that girl she was giving him surprises and he didn't think it would stop in the future.

The day he had first seen her a surge of strange power had flowed through his body.

As soon as he had gotten home he had gone to meditate. He still remembered what happened next.

When he had sat down to meditate, he tried to find the source of that power. After following the strands of gold flowing through his meridians for a long time he reached the point of source. As soon as he reached the point of source he was surprised because it originated from the heart of the dantian.

He tried to touch the source point with his power and as soon as he did so his consciousness was sucked into it.

The thing he saw next was like a projection that was playing in front of him.

He saw the Universe coming into existence!

The space in front of him was blank and there was darkness all around with just a small ball of piercing light floating. Then with a Boom!! there was a huge explosion. It was the ball of light that exploded and the matter inside started to expand rapidly.

It was like an ancient force was propelling them to grow and form galaxies, stars and planets.

He saw galaxies and solar systems forming, Planets forming from tiny particles and stars coming into existence.

They then started to expand even further and further, so further that he couldn't even see the distance between them.

He saw that after the Universe was in existence three beings came out of the piercing light and floated to the center. He couldn't see how they looked or what their gender was, just their black shadow.

They were floating in the center standing side by side.

Then they raised their hands and strands of white, blue and gold power was released by them and moved into all parts of the universe.

It was as if the Universe received an 'On!' command and then everything started to move. Stars burned, planets revolved and galaxies stretched even further.

He saw the person in the middle look at the person to the left of them.

When he saw them he felt a strange feeling. As if it was telling him to grow stronger, more powerful, they were waiting...

He then tried to focus and see their faces, to see if he could see even one of them, these powerful beings, but as soon as his consciousness reached the person in the middle he was pulled back into his body.

The power surged through his body even more strongly. He couldn't think about what he saw and could only try to absorb the power surging in his meridians before he exploded from it.

It took him a week to absorb the power during which he underwent two breakthroughs.

He was a peak stage master and practically flew to middle stage Grandmaster. One more level and he would be an advanced stage Grandmaster.

He was stunned. What was this power that made him upgrade so fast and even more who were these beings who could move galaxies and could command the universe, how did these strands of gold even enter his body without him knowing.

Even more suspicious was that he only felt this strange flow of power as soon as he looked at Maeisha.

He didn't know the answers to these questions but he knew that he would in the future. Till then he would continue to grow strong.....
