Chapter 31 - Store Master

Hiro lead them from the dorm and took them on a short journey to the store master.

They walked into a large room that was filled to the brim with clothes, boots, belts etc. They were stacked on shelves that were ceiling high and filled up the room.

There were rows of desks with Scanning pads next to them. The rest of the room was nothing but shelves and things stacked neatly upon them.

"So the rumours were true." A woman said as she walked out from the rows of shelves. That was the Alpha Flight Store Master i.e. Becca Collick, she was also Nessa's sister.

Hiro grinned. He knew there would be a buzz about this wing for a long time around the school.

"Yes Becca. Guys this is Becca Collick. She is in charge of the stores for Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. She also helps teach us advanced Hand-to-Hand combat to level 6 and above."

"Hello sir." Maei and her wing greeted her.

Becca smiled at Maei and the others. They were special alright. They already knew to greet everyone with yes sir and knew what rules to follow. This was rare as most kids didn't want to follow any orders and had to be tought for the first 3 months.

She walked over to her section and called everyone forward to join her.

"Okay, I will issue you your new uniforms with your flight insignia on it. Wing leader first." She said as she gestured them to stand on the scanning pad.

The scanning pad will activate to get her dimension and provide them with the clothes they needed.

Maei stepped forward and stood on the scanning pad. The scanners activated to get her measurements. Once the scanning was complete the shelves behind the desk activated and soon clothes and other things with a bag appeared on the desk through the conveyor belt.

"Okay. Here you go, when you get back to the dorm put your old uniforms in this bag and they will be returned to the first year Quartermaster." Becca handed Maei her things.

"Yes. We have dirty clothes from todays lesson." Maei explained as she stepped down from the pad and took her things from Becca.

Becca grinned, "Obstacle course today so, Mud pits I assume."

Maei and the others nodded.

"Not to worry. Put them in the bag as well. It will get laundered before being put back in the system. Now who is the second?" Becca Asked.

Maei glanced back to the wing and saw that all her wing members were looking at everyone else but her. She shook her head in amusement. "We don't have one yet."

Becca nodded as that was to be expected, "You guys are still very new. Okay then one at a time please."

Soon they had all received their uniforms and left for the dorm.

When Hiro came in he went straight to Lorcan and whispered something in his ear.

Lorcan eyes widened as he looked at his Baby sister. He couldn't believe that his sister was the leader of the new wing they had just received. He had a feeling that his sister was going to make achievements their family had never seen before. He had to warn grandfather to make sure that he could let everyone know and be prepared.

If it was what he was thinking and knowing his sister's talent aptitude she was not going to expect anything less from her wing as well. They need to be prepared so that they would be ready to provide her with any resource if necessary.

Then he proudly boasted about her to all his wing mates. His wing mates were already sick of him showing off his sister. They all left before he could say more. This guy was so much like their quiet wing leader normally but when it came to his sister he would become a chatterbox.

Lorcan thought to himself that they were just jealous of him having such a good sister and went to help her set up her bunk.

Two hours later they had settled into their new dorms and were in their new uniforms. Their old uniforms had been added to the laundry cart to be cleaned and be returned to the store master.

Rhys and his wing members smiled at the new wing. They had taken instructions well, listened to their seniors as they showed them the right way of stowing their things and were polite. They didn't demand much from the first years. As long as they had the inclination to learn and were polite, that was enough.

Just as they had finished the other members of Alpha flight came in from their lessons....
