Chapter 19 - Learning

The next Two months Maeisha worked hard to learn as much as she can.

Even Grandfather decided to stay at home till the time his darling leaves for Battle School.

Papa Owen hired teachers for her to study the basics for all of the subjects. It was good that she retained the memories of the previous host, so whatever she learned during her elementary school she remembered.

The teachers hired thought that since Maei was a girl with no prior experience in higher studies she wouldn't be smart enough and were patient and tought her slowly. But to their surprise she could catch up to whatever they tought her the very next day. After that they began to teach her at her pace and the speed went much faster.

What the teachers and family members didn't know was that she had an independent space in her bracelet where the time was 6:1 i.e. one hour outside was six hours inside. So she had plenty of time to study whatever the teachers tought her.

Of course at the same time Maei made sure to practice her cultivation every night in the space. She had tried making a few pills and soaks to expedite her cultivation as she was worried that she would fall behind others in the school. She had already reached Peak MSR (Martial Soul Realm) Disciple. In a few days she was going to try and breakthrough to MSR master.

She was also going to try and leave a few pills for the rest of the family as well as some spiritual herbs that she had been growing for the past few weeks. They could help her family at the time of emergency.

No matter how Maei learned the family was very proud of her and boasted about her to almost anyone who would listen.

The friends and colleagues of the family members were exasperated and at the same time curious about the girl who made the complete family brag about her so much and became their family's little darling.

Two weeks before the exam Lorcan and Cian came back for their rest period at home.

A rest period allowed a student to have a vacation for three days.

Lorcan was surprised to see his sister's full schedule and worried that she will be tired out decided to take her out to have fun.

His sister didn't have to work so hard. She should have some fun and he would also buy her some clothes to wear. His sister looked very cute in pink.

They were going to the new game center that opened in the fourth section. It was opened by one the families and was an interactive game center where people could play and have fun.

In the morning when they were having breakfast, the steward suddenly announced that eldest brother's friends have come.

Lorcan was surprised because he didn't invite any friends to come today. He only wanted to go with his brother and sister for family fun and didn't want to share his sister with anyone.

At school he had told his wing mates about his sister and his plan to take her out. They must have been curious about her and come unannounced for fear that he will refuse for them to come.

He was seriously shocked that he had such sneaky friends.

Soon the butler brought in four young boys.

Lorcan soon recognised them though he was surprised to see his wing leader among them.

"Hello Grandfather Demaris and Uncle Demaris. We are sorry to come unannounced but lorcan didn't tell us when to come so we just came after breakfast." That was his friend, Sky Berger who bowed respectfully and said mischievously. He was the joker in the group and most of them have led to do crazy stuff by him over the years.

The rest of them also bowed and said hello.

Only the tallest one in the back sauntered in.

He was tall, handsome and the same age as her brother. He was her brothers closest friend and now leader over the years.

He had come to meet Maeisha and to see how she looked like since he had heard so much about her from Lorcan these past few days. Every other word from his mouth was sister this, sister that.

It had made everyone curious about the girl who could make their calm second in command talk so animatedly about.

He came in and first bowed deeply towards grandfather and said in a deeply magnetic voice, "Good morning Grandfather Alfan. Sorry to disturb you so early in the morning."

"HaHaha....Good morning Rhys. How is the old man. I haven't seen him for the past few weeks."

"Grandfather is fine and has been saying that you have been gone too long since your youngest granddaughter has come home. He was thinking about coming to visit you."

"Thats fine. Tell that old man to come soon. I will prepare his favourite wine."

"No problem."

Only then did he turn around and look at Lorcan.

Maei ran behind her eldest brother and was peeking at him from behind. For some reason the man emitted a dangerous but at the same time, safe aura. She glanced at him and turned away in a hurry. A mysterious blush coloured her pink cheeks.

Normally Maei wasn't such an embarrassment - feeling shy when she saw a handsome man. Especially after being in a cultivation world where there were matchless beauties everywhere. The people in her own sect were superior beauties and she should have been indifferent appearances by now.

She had seen her share of people but this man was absolutely exquisite. The man's chiselled features, dark violet and hawk-like eyes. Just one glance from him would make a person feel like drowning. His nose was straight, his lips thin, his face a meticulous sculpture made by god himself.

Maei had to admit that this man was very attractive.

When Rhys saw her peeking at him curiously, He bowed his head slightly, violet eyes slightly narrowed and looked back at her. He didn't know for sure but he felt a surge of strange power flowing through his body the moment he looked at her.

Lorcan pulled Maei from behind him and introduced her, "Rhys this is my baby sister Maeisha. Maei this is Elder brother's Friend and Leader Rhys Griffin."

Maei looked up at him and said politely in a soft voice, "Hello, Pleased to meet you."

Rhys looked at the little girl who was greeting him. She was a little thing not much taller than his waist but looked into his eyes without any fear and pretence. Not many people could look into his eyes without fear.

Her eyes were the first thing he saw. They were too pure, Crystalline clear of any impurities. The girl had a pair of bright and pure eyes like the most gorgeous flowers on a wasteland so captivating that he found it hard to avert his eyes away....
